We met another couple in SA for a long weekend getaway and found this hotel to be very nice. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Even though we arrived an hour before our friends the guy at the front desk was able to get us adjoining rooms. We had a 2-queen room and our friends had a king room. Our 2-queen room was very large, but our friends king room was much smaller. Not sure why but ours was handicap accessible so that might be the reason for the big difference in room size. It's only 2-3 blocks to the Alamo and just a little further to the Riverwalk so an easy walk to get there. The free breakfast was good but not great. It was very crowded and we had to wait for a table to open up before we could sit down. There is no public parking for the hotel so you have to valet park your car and it's $21/day plus tax so consider this before you book. And sometimes it took them more than the 10 minutes they tell you to get your car ready. So here is the "but...." part. The only thing we didn't like is there's a dance club across the street and we could hear the music in our room. I fell asleep just fine but it bothered my wife enough to where she couldn't go to sleep. She called down to the front desk and they said the club is open on Friday and Saturday nights and the music doesn't stop until 2am. She complained about the noise but they said there was nothing they could do about it. The next night she took some medicine to help her sleep and she feel asleep just fine. Other than the valet parking and the loud music, we really enjoyed this hotel.

Everything was to like. This was my first trip to San Antonio and I picked a very nice place. The young lady at the desk was very helpful letting me know about a call after my late arrival and check in. The housekeeping staff kept the room looking spotless. The continental breakfasts were fantastic. As were the happy hour items. Great location. Only drawback being there are no restaurants right around the hotel. Did not have a problem with parking as I arrived by train. Taxi rates in San Antonio are very reasonable. Prices for items in their lobby store are too high. And it appears like having that store is why they must have taken out the vending machines that were near the ice machine. But I would gladly stay here again.

LOVED EVERYTHING!!--THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS TOTALLY RELAXING LOCATION - ONLY MINUTES FROM THE AIRPORT SERVICE - STAFF WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL ROOMS - WE HAD A DOUBLE SUITE - IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT FOOD - THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS MORE THAN GOOD AND THE HAPPY HOUR WAS A LOT OF FUN AND A BREAK FROM RESTAURANTS STAFF- GREAT YOUNG STAFF THAT WERE PROFESSIONAL CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK!!

First the sole positive, the hotel is in a good location for vacationers. I arrived at the hotel very late for a business trip. My corporate travel agency had booked this hotel. The staff member I dealt with even said it was a booking from X company. Then he said he had to have proof that this was a business trip before he could give me the room at that rate. The fact that I handed him a company credit card was not adequate. There is a parking garage. But if the garage is full, you have to park in a pay lot across the street. They do refund you the parking fee for any days you can't use the garage. However, the lot across the street is not secure & there were vagrants sleeping on the sidewalk. Normally Residence Inns are very nice, but this one had seen better days. It was clearly an older hotel with older, not so nice furnishings. Had I gotten to the room before midnight, I would have left to find a better hotel. Instead I waited until the weekend and moved.

This is one of the best hotels in downtown San Antonio. I have stayed in almost all of the hotels in the San Antonio Downtown area and this is by far one of the best. The staff is super friendly and helpful at all times, not just when arriving. The rooms are big. You have your kitchenette, sofa area, desk, and the bed. The rooms are huge. My 2 yr. old son had a great running-around space. The location is also great as it sits just behind The Alamo. All the downtown area might seem dark at night, but nothing to worry about. They have a great happy our that includes wine, beer, and a different snack each day. The hot beakfast is perfect in the morning. You can have anything from eggs & sausage to yogurt and fresh fruit. Believe me, the price is also good considering it is just as good as all those super expensive hotels. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. PS - Free Internet

I've stayed here a couple times for business and have been pleased. Just a short walk to the Alamo and the Riverwalk, safe parking and free happy hour! Rates were very fair, recomended.

My family of four spent one night, and it was quiet, comfortable, clean, safe, and we had everything we needed. They even had a few grocery items in the lobby (Haagen Dazs!). We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, and there was plenty of space. The breakfast was fresh and wonderful, and had a great selection. The location was convenient, a 5 minute walk to the Alamo. The parking was an issue, and after paying for a day of parking, the lot was full, so we had to park across the street; however, we were refunded the cost of Residence Inn parking. The parking across the street was fine, well-lighted.

the breakfast bufffet was very convenient and good. the staff was friendly.it was not far from the riverwalk.the only downside of our trip was when we were out walking,someone always stopped us,wanting a dollar or any extra change we had.

Free breakfast buffet and happy hour were great! 1 Block from the Alamo. Great for tourists!Will definitely go there again.I highy recommend this hotel.Very helpful staff.

This hotel is at San Antonio downtown area and right next to Alamo. The staff there are very nice and friendly. They really make me feel like home.
