Very Reasonable price.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/11
We were traveling as a group of 11 ( 2 rooms) . we arrived Saturday Nov 26th @ 2:30 pm and upon check in a man an woman assisted us with room keys and paperwork both were very friendly ! Upon entering the rooms we noticed that the Hotel is definitely in need of renovations. the outlets, carpets, bathroom fixtures,an quilts are a bit run-down. Thankfully I found no bed bugs as reported by previous occupants ! we only stayed one night but on Sunday morning when we went downstairs for the free breakfast the Gentleman that was in charge of that area was Very Helpful ! he assisted my 3 children with their waffles and made sure we were served a hot breakfast an had everything we needed. we did leave him a tip. I want to thank him especially ! .......In all the staff was helpful and kind no problems there. the hotel needs updating but was a good price for a large group. Hotel was only a few minutes drive to the benedum center.

Gave away our room!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
Attempted to check in at 1pm. Was told we could not check in until 3pm. Went to baseball game. Attempted to check in at 10:30pm. We had the room held with credit card and should have had no problem checking in at that time. Staff was rude and attempted to say that we never had a reservation until we could provide documentation. We provided documentation and then stated it was or fault because we didn't check in by 6pm. Had to drive six hours home because there was no other rooms available in the area or 230 miles near the area. Would not recommend.

Amenities: Bed Bugs!!
By KM, 3/27/11
Room was dirty and outdated. Bed Bugs on both beds, ashes on the floor of a non-smoking room, sticky residue on bedside table. Would never stay there again!

Go ANYWHERE else.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/10
My husband could not believe I had booked his stay at such a run down place. The staff was less than friendly, the breakfast bar did not have much variety and the internet was very slow. The whole building is in desperate need of refurbish and repair The biggest problem was the bed bug bites my son received while there. My son’s arms, legs, neck, chest, back were covered in very itchy, red bug bites. He hadn't said anything or else my husband would have reported it while still in Pittsburg I felt that the hotel should know so they could take care of the problem.I also feel that I should be reimbursed for the stay.I spoke with Patrice and she informed me that I must be wrong because no one else has complained and there was nothing she was going to do I am very disappointed in the response I received.I usually research places before I book them.I went with a chain that I thought had a quality reputation.I am very sorry I did not do the research and will think long and hard before I book another stay at any Comfort Inn

dont let the bed bugs bite.
By MICHAEL, 9/5/10
Checked in at 12:11 am after skyblast at pnc park. First off there is no place to park .The the lot was full so i parked in adjacent business parking lot. on walk up to register had to wait for a gaggle of drunk bikers coming out of the lounge before i could even make it into the door . checked in and walked to the convenience store to get my granddaughter milk, and when I had returned 5 minutes later my wife had found 1 bedbug on the blanket. spent the next couple minutes checking bedding and room. found no less than a dozen more. in which one of them was in the pillow case, you could actually see the pillow case move as it crawled around. I went to the front desk and informed them of their problem and was informed they couldnt switch me to another room because they were sold out. informed them I would be leaving and they said they wouldnt charge me. Wow no charge for a 41 minute stay in a bedbug infested flop house) I travel extensively for a living and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in (including mom and pop rural hotels. I am a (was) a diamond member in choice priviledges and this place has left such a foul taste in my mouth that I may use a different chain for business. While repacking my car and avoiding more drunk bikers at the door . There was another customer waiting patiently at the front desk. I advised him the night attendant was outside smoking. I had to make a 3 hr drive back home as all the local hotels were completely booked. AND..... here is the really bad thing. while unpacking my wife found some of the little stowaways in our baggage. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY, HEALTH, AND WELL- BEING.

will not visit again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/09
people partied all night, extremely loud, slamming doors all night, yelling, loud TV's. We did not get any sleep, complained, and was told, "im sorry" we cannot make people stay in their rooms. We were simply asking for some piece, and people to calmly shut doors after midnight. Nothing was done. I would not stay here if I had small children, or if you are on a business trip, needing to be up for a meeting early. The game room, is connected to a bar, so do not let your children enter it, not even teenagers. I hated my experience here, and would not recmmend anyone staying here, unless you want to party in the bar downstairs, and bring the party up to the room with you, then youll be fine.

bedbugs biting really hard
By Paul, 7/12/09
I stayed there for 3 nights, I was attacked by bed bugs every night, I put up with it the first couple nights and my last night there they went on full assault. I left with about 20 red welts on my body from the bites. Everything else was ok not great. I have a hard time believing I was the first to tell them about this since that bed must be totally infested.

ugghhhh
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/08
The couple of good things I can say about this hotel is that it's inexpensive, easily accessible to Heinz Stadium, and the owner of the bar next door is very nice. I'm not one to typically complain, I'm very easy going and I travel for a living, so I stay in plenty of hotels.....but I wouldn't stay in this hotel again. The hotel needs some serious updating, including the staff! I wasn't even greeted when I came in. (no hello, no welcome, no can I help you?). I just told the clerk I was checking in and gave her my cards. I open the room to the overpowering smell of air freshener. Take my breath away! The room itself needs updating. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet was completely crooked, there was mold growing in the shower and along the edges, and it needed a new shower curtain, the one provided was disgusting. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets seemed to be clean. The hotel does have a small breakfast, but there was no fruit. What hotel doesn't have fruit for breakfast? I asked for a morning paper, which was supposed to be included in our stay, but I was told by the front desk they were out, but I could walk over to the gas station and purchase one....thanks! My point being with all of this....if you are looking for a place just to lay your head and don't care about your accomodations, stay here. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, hotel friendly stay, go somewhere else.

Cheap and Friendly
By Neet_trav, 7/16/08
I travel to Pittsburgh on business often. I have been staying downtown but the prices were so high I looked for an alternative and found this place. It is just outside the Fort Pitt tunnel and it is easy to get into the city even if you are not driving. My room was small but had everything I needed. They have free internet, coffee in the room and free breakfast in the morning. I saved so much money I can't believe I didn't think of this before. Best thing was I ended up parking my car for free and used the public transportation to get back and forth to where I had to go. Everybody was real friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Could of used a little more water pressure but I didn't have any other problems. I would recommend this hotel to anybody on a budget. You will save a lot of money.

Nice , clean and good Service
By Bhushan, 6/18/08
Me and a couple friends traveled to Pittsburgh to watch the Pirates play. We stayed at this hotel. It worked out real well. The price was right and they have a bar that has karoake on the weekends. There was three of us, we shared a room with two double beds and a fold out couch. It had a fridge and microwave in it too. It was a big room, clean and comfortable. It worked out perfect with the three of us splitting the tab. We jumped on a bus right in front of the hotel to go to the ballfield. Had a great time at the game. We called the hotel and they sent a taxi for us. When we got back we hung out in the bar and had a great time. Real friendly people there. They told us about places to check out and good places to eat. We had some wings at the bar and they were really good too. We stayed an extra night just cause we were having such a good time and everyone was so friendly. We will be back. It was a A+ experience
