Internet charges
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/07
I love this hotel, great location, grounds, swimming pools etc. BUT it's getting expensive. Watch out for things like internet, previously included now charged by the day - not per 24hrs. So stay one night and you'll pay for 2 days internet if you use it in the evening and again in the morning.

A good Resort
By Van Trong Nguyen, 6/14/06
Weather is nice, people are kind, price is cheap, U sould go to the Cham Art Museum in Trung Nu Vuong Street in Da Nang, where U can find out many mystic and wonderful truth about an ancient kingdom. From Da Nang U can go to My Son, Hoi An, 2 World Heritages. And another nice place is Ba Na

May or May not Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/06
Nice place, nice beach though - hotel staff will try to pick up garbage on the beach. I dind't like it as much as the Victoria down the street. On weekends, you will get a lot of expats and business folks from Saigon and the generals and their entourage from Hanoi- best time to go is mid week for privacy. The service is sporadic but friendly enough. Vietnam is still learning the ways and needs of travelers looking for luxury so don't expect waiters in black ties that will intuitively cater to your every need in perfect Oxford English- it's not the Mediterranean and it doesn't pretend to be- it's not even Thailand. Do be very careful about the price of your room when making reservation and be very conscious of the bait and switch. I don't know if mgt has gotten its act together with respect to this but this hotel is notorious for the switcharoo shenanigan. It's south east asia so it will be hot and honestly, casual. Do explore the town and make excursion into Hoi An. Do negotiate and don't accept the first price a taxi driver throws out at you. Remember the cost of living here for the locals are very low- throwing your big dollars around only encourage their sense to acquire and make this place even more commercialized. I find the staff very friendly and accomodating when I speak english slowly and remain respectful of them; because Vietnamese is not my first language. The room was forgetable though the AC kicked out serious air.

Good experience
By billy, 4/19/06
Used to stay in five stars hotel in Europe during my business travels , so just want to try the hotel which is classified in the top ten luxury beach in the world by Forbes Magazine 2005. First, the beach is really wonderful. Installations are also beautiful. The personnel works well but is not always here when you need them. Some of the reviewers compare it with a five stars hotel, of course it is definitely not, you are here in a resort, people are wearing thongs, tatoos , loose t-shirts ...etc.. Personnaly, i would retry with other resorts (Sandy beach in Danang for example) which costs half the price. Another point: you are about 7 kms from the center, so if you want to be alone, have a good rest, it is a good location. If you travel to discover, it will bring you extra taxi cost. Another point : Internet connection is not free (8USD/hour) and it is not displayed until they claim you the bill !!

Deluxe resort
By worker dien, 4/14/06
Vietnam's most exclusive award-winning Deluxe Collection resort - contemporary Asian architecture blended with French colonial styling: beautifully located at the most magnificent and untouched beach in the entire country, the world famous 'China Beach'. Right on 'China Beach', just 7 km from Danang city center and International Airport.

Not even worth it
By Don, 10/22/05
We pay $145.00 per night, and that is more than 3 months of salaries for most people working in that hotel, and yet we don't get much other than a nice room. There is no entertainment or any thing that we can really do on a vacation. We got so bored after just two days at this place, and looking forward to going home. The beach is not even as good as where we live Huntington Beach, CA. It was so hot and humid, and there is no escape other than stay in our room with the air conditioning running all day and night. Everything in this hotel is so expensive in a very inexpensive city/country that we feel like we were being robbed. we would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.
