Hyatt Place Atlanta Cobb Galleria, Smyrna

Wonderful surprise...this property is extremely clean and accomodating. The rooms are spacious with 42 in TV's. The staff is the best around. This hotel has free wi-fi, food available 24 hours a day and beer and wine bar. Best of all the service at this price point was exceptional! The manager, she recommend numerous great restaurants in the area, a free shuttle to and from them. If we need anything all we had to do was ask and they accomodate. I was impressed they recognized us by name the minute we arrived. Kudos to the entire staff! Great job! Will be back!

The hotel was nice but the service was horrible. The group coordinator at the hotel seemed like she knew what she was doing through emails but when I checked into the hotel along with my guest everything went wrong. For some reason people were taken out of my reserved block and didn't receive the group discount. Because they were taken out of my block they didn't have the room for the entire duration everyone had to keep moving rooms. While I was doing wedding prep activities the staff from down stairs kept calling my cell phone asking me what to do about the situation that they messed up. I met with them the next day I got there and worked out things on paper with her drawing circles around everyone in my groups name and writing in the dates they were going to check in and out and they still couldn't handle it. I had made welcome baskets for out of town guest to receive when they arrived and nobody received their baskets I had to go down stairs get them and pass them out my self. I had just finished makeup and hair and was walking out to the lobby were I was met with my entire grooms family and the group coordinator from the hotel. She informed me that they have no rooms for them, she accidentally gave them away therefore had to be relocated to the Embassy located down the street. The coordination of the staff of this hotel is horrible. Thank goodness I didn't have any of my wedding events there because they would have certainly messed it up. I don't recommend this place for anyone.

I travel on average 2 weeks per month. I have stayed here a few times nothing special but will not stay again. I had a family emergency I had to deal with, so I couldn't travel. I forgot to cancel my room by midnight I called about 12:15 actually. The lady said I would have to call the manager on site. So I tried numerous times I even asked the girl the last time if she was there (the manager) she told me yes. Of course right through to voice mail, I asked 3x to call me but of course no call. So for $100 I will never stay there or any other Hyatt for that matter, the manager doesn't give a crap about thier customers so F them. PS I have cancelled late at Hilton and they have never charged me. Homewood Suites in Buckhead is much quiter and nicer any way.

Very spacious room, large screen TV, kitchenette, new furnishings, great bed. Free continental breakfast, great location, no parking fees. This place really hits the spot!

This is clearly a hotel for business travellers rather than pleasure travellers. I booked the hotel on expedia for about $100 a night and am very pleased. My room has a nice king bed, a sleeper sofa, a dedicated desk/work area, a 42 inch plasma tv, and free internet on which I'm typing this review. Service is excellent. As one earlier review noted, the lobby entrance is very impressive. There are a number of restaurants nearby. This was a great value for the price I paid which I suspect is lower than usual. If I were travelling to Atlanta for pleasure, I would want to stay closer to the city or other attractions but I am very happy with this and would come back again.

While the lobby in the hotel gives you a sense that all is well, once you step off the elevator, you know that the hotel is really old and shabby. I stayed on the 6th (top) floor, and the hallway was dark and felt closed in, it smelled badly, and the carpet was not cleaned. The room did not feel clean, with numerous visible stains on the carpet and lights that didn't work. The noise level at the hotel is difficult to sleep through. Between very loud and close noise from a major expressway, and the old window-type heating/AC units, I slept very poorly. While the front desk staff was unusually friendly, they couldn't make up for substandard facilities. I will most definitely not return.

I would like to say that this has been the best experience I have had when staying in a hotel during any type of training. The shuttle service and the hotel staff have made us feel at home. Very cordial and very accommodating in all requests. The shuttle service to Bally's, Global Knowledge, and restaurants was always prompt and the drivers seemed to be happy working for the hotel. That appears to make a difference in the level of service the hotel provides making a positive impact. I think that Global Knowledge picked the right hotel as their first pick. Really nice rooms and excellent beds. Very clean.

This is a great hotel with a good breakfast bar in the morning. It is a little hard to find, but worth the effort.

The hotel is worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Its dirty and no proper customer care. I will never stay here again. Its a nightmare. Dirty rooms and dirty service
