Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/08
We like when we left the hotel. We dislike the dirty rooms, the smell on corridors, the bad quality of beds, the size of the towels (kids size), the desconsideration of the front desk, the surprise at the checkout when they charged US 16 for dayly parking, even when written at the room that each room could park one car. Askin about this the lady at frontdesk answer: It`s written that you may park, not that`s a free parking!!! and worst of all: The complete lack of experience and orientation when there was a fire alarm. Closed doors, places without signals.

would never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/08
we booked this hotel on the internet, sorry never read the reviews,we arrived at 12pm,after travelling from orlando, asked could we book in,to be told no you cant book in till 4pm,room was ok,staff not very helpful.we were charged 16dollars for valet parking, which we were not told about.there were 3valet parking men just stood around, either talking or reading papers,we had to park on the road as there was no space for parking the reason being they were stood around talking instead of doing there job.was told you cant park on the road, why didnt they do there job properly?was then kept awake all night by guests next door, complained to staff on desk they did not want to know,we only stayed one night instead of two, when we booked out ,we made a complaint, but they were not interested, staff not at all helpful,we should have been told it was valet parking, all in all would never return or recomend

Not sure to go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/08
The staff was very polite (front desk, valet parking, waitresses, bartender) but the room was awfully dirty and smelly. The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The food at the restaurant was very good, but a little bit overpriced. The location was convenient, but what we enjoyed the most was the beach. It was GREAT!!! I don't think we'll be back there soon, the hotel is under construction and it was a little bit noisy.

I would never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
I wish I had read the reviews before I went there.when I arrived the person at the desk told me I did not have a resevation. After producing my confirmation number I was told 'oh,your name was spelt wrong'.I was then informed that I to pay $16.00 a night for vallet parking because they did not have a parking garage.WHAT HOTEL DOES NOT PROVIDE PARKING FOR ITS GUEST???????OR IF NOT WHY ARE THE GUEST NOT INFORMED OF THIS BEFORE THEY ARRIVE AT THE FRONT DEST???????The next thing is I was given a total for my stay over the phone when I made my resevations, when I arrived my total was doubled. On a whole this hotel is not somewhere you want to stay if you care about service, cleaniness and honesty.I walk away feeling that I was sucked in by false advertising.the place is nothing as what they portray it to be on the net.

Nice Place
By BlkBrotha, 08/08/06
The hotel was excellent due to location, but a little far from downtown. The beach and hotel service was nice and I wouldnt mind return for a few nights. The kitchen was good and I did not have to eat out everynight which saved some $$ in my pocket

Great Deal for the Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/06
I stayed at the Casablanca for one week in early April and enjoyed every minute of it. Compared to other hotels in North Miami Beach, my experience here far surpassed the others. In spite of the fact that the room I stayed in was showing signs of age, the housekeeping staff left the room spotless every day. I enjoyed the convenience of having a full kitchen in my room and not having to eat out 3 times a day. The front desk staff (especially Paolo) was helpful, courteous and well informed about local attractions. The outdoor pool was extremely clean and direct access to the ocean was an added perk. I plan to return to the Casablanca for years to come!

Spring Break
By Jonathan, 03/08/06
The hotel was of average, a little far from South Beach. About an $18.00 cab ride each way. The room was ok, walls little run down. The front desk people were really helpful and nice. Vallet parking cost a lil much and took awhile each time we got our car. This place is ok for Spring Breakers.

Worst experience ever
By jason m, 12/07/05
I have booked this Hotel in January 2005 2 Ocean view rooms. I live in the UK and am a Reservations manager for a Big Hotel chain. After travelling more than 30 hours we finally got to the Hotel in the middle of the night to be told by the night porter that they are fully booked and they wouldn’t have a room for us. Reception area was packed with people who had the same problems. I understand they might have been short of rooms due to the hurricane but I would have informed my Guest and let them know at least. They were known trying to find a Hotel room with us who I wasn’t happy as Miami was fully booked. I just wanted to jump over the counter and slap the man behind reception. They weren’t very helpful or friendly at all and from organisation side of it there wasn’t even a duty manager on site to deal with this the just left the poor night porter to deal with all those people. also how can a hotel book people like us where they know we are travelling from a far distance and timezones. We over book in our hotel too nearly every hotel does but you look carefully through your reservations and pick who you book out or not depending on journey length of the stay and after talking to other people in reception we were the ones which came the longest distance and were staying 5 days. In the end they paid for our complete stay at the other hotel which was ok even though we had to sleep with ants and our holiday was ruined.

Please don't stay there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/05
we are very disapointed by the bad service the hotel staff and management gave us. We wouldn't even recommend it for students. The rooms are quite ok but the overall rating is minus. If you want to have good, nice and relaxing holidays, especially if you are from Europe, other than Spanish speaking (they are prepared for that) mind that hotel and stay more upnorth, you will enjoy that much much more.

This Hotel Was Great!
By A Yahoo! User, 09/17/05
This hotel had very nice and diverse staff. They greeted me at the door, picked up all my luggage and they always were smiling. I got a great discount and comfortable room. All the appliances worked well, everything was clean and the whole hotel was spacious. Despite the negative reviews others may give, due to their nit picking .. The hotel was great and I suggest more people stay there in the beautiful MIAMI FLORIDA! :)
