Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre, Amsterdam

We stayed at the Golden Tulip City Centre during October 2007 and we can't wait to plan our next vacation back to Amsterdam at the same hotel. The location was great-close to Central Station, Cafes, Pubs, Museums, etc. These were all within walking distance to the hotel.

rooms were crummy 8'X8' cubicles with no space to walk .Hardly any ventillation.The attached bathwas so small that one hurt ones elbows while turning around. No room service. overall uncomfortable stay.

location was close to most major attractions and just around the corner from the train station.great choice for breakfast, only complaint is that the rooms where a bit on the small side, fantastic beds, so comfortable. stayed for 3 nights, march 2007.

Excellent location! The best one! Our room wasn't to the street, so was no noise at all! Full amenities and good bathroom! Would like to stay there again. The only strange thing is that fact that we should change two elevators to get to our floor. The best hotel bed I've ever slept!

This hotel is in a great location, a stones throw from Centraal Station. The room we had was near the back and was very quiet. The room, although very small, was clean and very comfortable, although there weren't any drawers, for personl items. The room safe was and added bonus. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have experienced in a hotel room, and being queen size had loads of room. My only critisism is, the movie channels (inculding porn) were showing, and you had to cancel them at reception. If you watched them. a charge of 12.50euros per day was added to your room account. When we go back to Amsterdam this is the only hotel I would ever use.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel, the first time we visited we were given a room at the very front of the hotel, and because there are eateries all around plus outside cafes we found it difficult to sleep, we could not open the windows because of the constant noise, so if you are a light sleeper like us ask for a QUIET room. You will probably have to pay a little more and book an executive room, but it is well worth it, we could not hear the trams or the noise we had experienced before. There is air conditioning in the rooms, but they are loud when you have them on in hot weather. The restuarant is a waste of money, you are far better going to one of the small cafes which surround the hotel. The staff were lovely, and very helpful and it is in an ideal position being only a 10 minute walk (going slowly!) from Central Station, and Trams 1,2, and 5 stop just a short walk from the hotel, which take you to the centre of all the action. All in all a great hotel, and we will certainly be staying there again, but only in a quiet room!!.The beds and pillows are the most comfortable we have experienced in Europe, the bedding clean and changed daily, when you hang your Do not Disturb sign on your door, you will NOT be disturbed. A lovely comfortable and affordable hotel.
