Front desk was very attentive!

I walked into the front desk and was immediately greeted by a (possibly overly but not in a bad way) friendly gentleman named Derek. He got me in my room which was fairly clean but not up to the standard I was expecting. After only a little while in my room I called down to see if anything could be done to change rooms. Derek explained that his computer system was down but he would see what he could do. Within minutes he returned my call and had me switched into an impeccably clean room. I know all hotels have their problems but the courtesy and speed in which the management took care of my needs was exceptional. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in the Atlanta area.

not what you would think

Staff was nice but hotel was older. Roaches in the hallway, spiders everywhere in the room. Room was good and room service was nice but not fabulous. One meal came with food missing.Gift shop and resturants closed one day I was there because hotel had low occupancy. Only a indoor pool. Very close to Emory a plus. Felt safe with parking.

Love it, Love it, Love it

We stayed over Christmas break and loved the decorations, they made us feel at home. I was concerned about the construction for the addition, but there were no problems with noise. Speedy check in and out. Guest services has some great team members such as Meg and Jenn. Breakfast was wonderful as well! My son will love going to Emory and I will be happy to stay there when I visit him.

Can't wait to go back

From check in to check everything as exceptional. The concierge meet you at the door and are helpful from the start. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The Frank Llyod Wright design was wonderful for the floor to ceiling windows including the guest room, which was very nice. They also have complimentary in the public area which is a great option with a nice fireplace. The food service was exceptional. They have a great lounge with pool tables and other games. I even took advantage of the spa facilities. I am looking forward to my next visit to Atlanta!

They must be kidding!

We've stayed here twice and both times this place fell well below our expectations. From the indifferent management to the filthy rugs, it's impossible to understand how anyone could give this train wreck a positive review. Our last visit included being given the wrong type of room (we requested a balcony room and were assured by the reservations manager that because we made the request so early it wouldn't be a problem), being told that the movies were unavailable and wouldn't be made available anytime soon, seeing that the ice machine, that was broken two months earlier, was still broken and being made to wait several minutes at the front desk while the dubious clerk checked our story about our room request. Despite the wait and the fact that our story was verified, we still couldn't get in the room we requested. Oh yeah and our door wouldn't lock. I can't understand why a property owned by Emory University could be operated so poorly. This place needs a lot of help!
