Good for the value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/08
I liked proximity to area of my visit(Sea World, Downtown and restaurants)'cause it's right off of major highway intersections; Routes might be confusing though! My brand new GPS 'recalculated' everytime on the intersection! I stayed with my family. Good for the price.Courtious staff.

Great hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/18/07
My family and I really liked this hotel on our trip to San Antonio. Everything eas great - the beds, the pillows, the water pressure, internet access, the breakfast, the pool, etc. There is a lot of construction around this area, but it didn't affect how we felt. We will definitely come here again for our next trip.

I love this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/07
I love everything about this hotel! It's smack in the middle between Sea World and the Riverwalk! Very clean, great price, exceptional staff! The ONLY place we stay when we're in San Antonio!!

Enjoyed the personnel and the place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/06
We've stayed here for an extended stay and a couple of one-nighters. We first stayed at a Springhill Suites in Houston and were very impressed with the chain. San Antonio Crossroads did not disappoint us. I am online now booking another stay.

Good Location and Great Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/13/06
This is a perfect hotel for both business travellers and families. This hotel is centrally located: Downtown and the San Antonio Zoo is about 8 miles south on I-10; Sea World is about 10 miles to the west on Loop 410; Fiesta Texas is about 8 miles north on I-10; and the North Star Mall is about 4 miles east on Loop 410. When we got to our room, we did not have the pack-n-play (crib) in our room as we requested in our reservation; however, they promptly delivered it after we called. The appliances in the kitchenette might be a little outdated, but it does function well. We had a loud window unit air conditioner, but it keep our room cool. The hotel provides a great fitness room, swimming pool, free wireless internet, and free continental breakfast. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and hope to stay there soon.

Amerisuites Crossroads, San Antonio
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/04
As an Amerisuites, this hotel was far below the company standard. The one time we stayed there I found vomit in the hallway. I reported it to the desk in the morning and it was still there in the afternoon. After a second report the management sent someone to clean it, but it was a marginal job at best. After this experience we stayed at the company owned Amerisuites located about halfway between Crossroads and UTSA and found it and the staff to be superior and well worth the price.
I am glad to see the change to a Spring HIll Suites, since I have had good experiences with the Marriott organization. I hope there is a complete ownership and management change to go with the renovations and name change.

After staying in an Amerisuites before, I expected the same kind of service, was I ever wrong. The hotel was in a good location for the activities I had planned with my family, but the service and friendlyness of the staff was horrible. They offer free breakfast, but seldom had enough to accomidate all the guest. The front desk help wasn't very friendly either, When I asked for more towels and wash cloths, because my room only had 2 for the 4 us staying, the desk clerk sure seemed rather irratated that I even would ask for suck a thing. This same thing happened 3 times in the 4 nights we stayed there. Ther was only 1 individual who was cordial and helpful. An assistant manager helped me with directions. Overall I would give this hotel an overall rating of 2. I stayed in another Amerisuites in the Dallas region this past spring. For them I give a 4. So as far as a chain I believe they are ok. It was just this particular location that stunk.
