Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/09
Negatives: The pool & hot tub were closed. The restaurant was over priced. I told the front desk we wouldn't be checking out until 11:00 & housekeeping actually walked into our room at 8:16 & woke us up. Positives: Very clean & the staff was nice.

Geared toward business travelers
By Taquito, 08/09/08
I was looking forward to staying at the Hilton, thinking of some of the others I've stayed at. Well, this one is pretty old but has been rennovated so it wasn't too bad. I think it's geared more toward the business class traveler, convention-goer than being family oriented. Internet access was available but we were kind of rudely told that because we made the reservation through Priceline, we would have to pay 9.95 for 24 hours, then they tried to charge us for 2 days (we only stayed 1 night). They do have a restaurant but it's expensive. Better to go out and get something reasonable. If you like Mexican, there is a fantastic, genuine Mexican restaurant about 3 blocks away. The hotel has an adequate fitness room with sauna and an outdoor pool (just bring your own towel). The beds were comfortable but the thermostat in our room didn't work right. Either the a/c was on all the way or the heat would come on to raise the temperature and smelled funky. Other than that, it wasn't too bad a stay. I just wish I'd brought my clubs because the golf course looked beautiful! If you look at the picture of the hotel and the pond at the bottom of the hill ... well that hill is part of the golf course.

Angry and Broke
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/07
After cancelling our reservation in ample time not to be charged, the MCCR charged our debit card anyway causing a mess with our account. After leaving 3 voice mails to the controller with no luck, we then tried for the manager, no luck. After calling many times finally we were able to speak with a human and the response to the problem they caused was... "We are not respnsible for the charges." We did receive a $90.10 credit on our card but the overdraft (yes, we live day by day as most do) charge of $32.00 and the surcharge of $10.00 was ignored. After calling back for a 5th time, and speaking to someone in management, we were again told that this is not their fault. It seems that if you charge a room on an account that should have never been charged in the first place, then it would be the "chargers", in this case the Conference Center's fault and responsibility to make it right. They will not return any calls. I suppose if you have money to burn or give away this is not a problem, but with my family, $42.00 is a meal or 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Premier Member Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/07
I am a Premier Member of this Hotel. My wife and I decided to make reservations for the first time. The beverage vending machine on our floor was empty. The next day, my wife requested a plunger for the commode. They brought us a plunger in a plastic bag with fecal matter still on it, which spilled out of the bag onto our floor. We requested then to be moved to a new room. They did so but then the room we were moved to had no bath tissue and we went to the ice machine... there was no ice. This along with other frustrations, my wife and son decided would drive back home (within the Atlanta area). I stayed since we were already past the check-out time and tried to request some type of compensation type resolution, which at the time, the management was still debating.

We'd get married there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/05
Everything is great. The ambiance is not something you would expect from a Conference Center... The amenities that you get are way beyond what they charge for a room - I think the prices are worth it.
