Worst hotel experience EVER
By Richard, 8/3/10
Two straight nights I was bolted awake in the middle of the night by what sounded like big-time wrestling on the floor above- compounded by the longest, louded creaking I've ever heard. it went on for more than an hour. I left this hotel exhausted and infuriated. The front desk clerk was totally indifferent. I refused to sign the checkout bill and was told it would just be charged anyway. I asked for a contact from the manager but did not get it. My head is still aching the second day after from lost sleep.

Disappointing Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/07
The food was excellent but there was plenty of coffee and no continental breakfast.I couldn't find the hot tub. The bed was hard as a rock like sleeping on a plank of wood and the pillows were just as bad. The male front desk person lacked customer service skills when I checked in was rude and gave me a hassle when payment was prepaid over the web and did not want to accept the fact payment was already made rather than calling the Craftsman Inn to make the payment. That caused a delay upon check-in and was more than embarassing to me after driving a long distance to arrive to a point where I was thinking of cancelling the reservation and going elsewhere.During our conference we were moved from room to room and that was very distracting.

Not worth the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/07
I LOVE Fayetteville as I grew up there, but I didn't love the Craftsman Inn. I stayed there for my high school reunion and when I complained that the toilet was over flowing, a woman in an evening gown showed up at my door with a plunger. She left, the plunger stayed, thus I had to do my own maintenance. Next time, I'll be looking for a different place to stay, even if I have to go a little out of my way.

Great location, a bit over-priced for what you get.
By TT, 7/4/07
This Inn is in a great location, Target and Panerra right across the street, as well as a Starbucks on the next corner. Check in was faily easy considering we called and added another day to our stay about a week before, but when we got there they had added the day to the end of our stay instead of coming in a day earlier. No biggie, the girl at the desk just fixed it in their computer and we were done in 15 minutes. We stayed in a jacuzzi tub room and I have to say I was a lot disappointed when I saw what we were paying for. The bathroom was a nice size but the jacuzzi tub was incorporated into the shower and you had to step up twice and then down into the tub, there were no handrails or anything to hold onto while stepping (everything was tiled so you could easily slip and fall). We ended up using most of our towels for the floor and step because the curtain didn't cover the area very well. Also, the water pressure from the shower head was a joke; it could be that we are used to our water pressure in our apartment, but even so, it took me forever to wash my hair and it's only a few inches past my shoulder. The room itself was a nice size; you walked into the sitting area that included a TV, desk (WiFi worked great), sofa, rocking chair as well as mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker(looked like it needed some TLC). The bedroom area also had a TV and two nightstands which made it a bit cramped with a kingsized bed. The a/c unit rattled as well as the windows above it so that made for an uneasy nights sleep; that combined with the hard bed and not so fluffy pillows had me longing for home. We are late risers so we continually had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door until 11 or 12, but when we left the room for the day we would flip the sign over which displayed Maid Service Requested (or something to that affect); one day we came back to find a cleaning bottle in the bathroom and one day we came back and found that the room hadn't been cleaned at all (we usually didn't get in until atleast 2am). When my husband said something to the head housekeeper, she disputed him saying the DND side was posted...Arguing with guests doesn't seem like good practice but we did get a $25 credit when we checked out and an apology. Oh yeah, you get a paper every morning which is a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious; muffins, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, waffels, 4 kinds of juice, coffee and an array of donuts, and the times it was served were very reasonable. The sitting area did become a bit cramped on Saturday morning and some tables were dirty and the trash was overflowing. Overall I'd say we would stay here again, definately in a different room, but only because of the location to shopping and food as well as our family; paying over $600 for 4 nights lodging isn't our cup of tea.

Consistantly a great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/07
My most recent stay at the Craftsman Inn was, as usual, a delightful addition to my travels. Everyone on the staff is so accomodating and responsive; I never have to ask for anything twice. The suite was large and perfect for a small, relaxed meeting with my two co-workers. Love the rocking chairs! Dinner at the Craftsman is relaxed and delicious. I never write a review of my hotel stays but this one is worth it.

Have stayed there repeatedly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/29/07
The rooms are lovely, furnished with mission style furniture. The location is good too, easily reached from the major highways. The staff is always helpful.

Loved It!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/06
Great! Service, price and value for the money. Upscale, not uptight! Food is wonderful, rooms are clean and service is great. Wedding and baby shower were very memorable. Friends who came to my wedding have booked the place for their wedding.
