Motel 6 Hannibal, Hannibal

We stayed August 14, while in Hannibal for a funeral. Room had food on floor, phone didn't work, and wall paper peeling in room and worse in bathroom. About midnight I noticed a couple of bugs on one of the beds, they were gross-red, flat, oval shaped bugs! I killed them, and then as I kept looking, saw more and more bugs. Two were on my husband's pillow, and the bugs were all around him on the sheets. I took pictures of all of these. I killed bugs all night, and in the morning, I started collecting them live, and put them in a bag. I turned these in at front desk, and asked for a manager. I was told manager wasn't there. I found out later from calling numerous times, that she was the manager! I called and reported the bugs and dirty room to Hannibal Chamber of Commerce, The Hannibal Newspaper, and the Marion County Department of Health. I also called the Corporate office of Comfort Inn. All assured me that they would investigate. Whatever, you do don't stay here!

I used to always book at choice hotels when on vacation until I stayed at this comfort inn. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk, you have to call the operator to retrieve someone. Hosekeeping is an issue. Pillows were missing cases and there were stains on the beadspread. The front desk delivered the cases and next morning I mentioned to the housekeeper at the next room to remind her. When we returned to the room that afternoon, there was no housekeeping performed at all. When I complained to the front desk, they offered towels and said there was no one to clean the room and no other rooms to use. I checked out after no satisfaction from a call to choice hotel customer service and no manager available at the hotel. STAY AWAY if you don't want your vacation ruined.
