Escape from the city!
I grew up in Columbia Falls, and just love the atmosphere. I can't say that I've stayed at this particular Super 8, but I can rate others. I just wanted a chance to make a "pitch" for the beauty that surrounds Columbia Falls - Glacier Nat'l Park, Flathead Nat'l Forest, Bob Marshall Wilderness... you name it, it's there! What's not to love about this area? The mountains, the lakes, the rivers & streams... it IS paradise on earth!
Escape from the city life.. and get back to nature! It just has a magic about it that leaves you feeling like a whole new person!
And, one more "brief" pitch about the Bob Marshall...
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex in northwestern Montana extends into four national foreststhe Flathead, Lewis and Clark, Lolo, and Helena. The Bob Marshall Wilderness itself covers over a million acres; the Great Bear Wilderness, which abuts the Bob to the north, and the Scapegoat Wilderness, which flanks the Bob to the south, add almost a half million more. My trips to the Bob have primarily been to fish the South Fork of the Flathead River, which lies just west of the Continental Divide and is the best backcountry river in Montanaperhaps in the Westfor westslope cutthroats. This eTrail contains detailed information on where to fish in the region and how to get there. All the lakes, rivers, and streams are covered and additional information sources like maps and services are provided.
