Food Horrible & Seriously Overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/08
I attended the Mother’s Day Brunch at the Oyster Bay Inn Restaurant.
First, the $35 price tag is an exorbitant price for the food that was offered, even if it is “all-you-can-eat.” Nothing on the menu warranted a $35 price tag.
Second, the food wasn’t good at all. Premade French toast; soup that was mistaken for gravy (We found out it was soup by asking for the biscuits); nothing was hot; no toast just ‘continental breakfast’ leftovers; the carving station meat was fatty and overcooked; the bulk of the menu looked like it was cheese and fruit – something found in most continental breakfasts; and it was mostly breakfast/not a brunch (a salad doesn’t constitute lunch).
