so so
By Don't go there, 4/2/10
We stayed there over night in March. Our room had a king size bed and was semi-decent, althought, i thought greatly overpriced $220. My parents room with queen size bed had extremely small room with no space for anything. I actually felt bad and embarassed that they had to stay in such shitty room and pay, nevetheless, $190 for it. The hotel was kind of far from main road, breakfast was very small and cheap, pool tiny. So, overall, try to find different place.

New Manager is in Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/9/08
Wrote a negative review of hotel after an unresolved fight with on-site manager and credit card company. Finally spoke with General Manager of Historical Inns. He recognized the problem & went out of his way to rectify situation. Shame I didn't talk with him first as situation wouldn't have gotten out of hand. Bottom line give them a chance but I do stand by my comments. With new manager there and the General Manager's willingness to correct problems this could be a great place!

Key West Charmer
By Public Interests, 1/8/07
Just spend a week at The Chelsea House. Great location and wonderful staff with a couple of exceptions: 1. There was no water pressure in the shower. 2. Charming bathroom, but no place to put your "stuff!" 3. Carpet in room needed a cleaning. Suggest you bring slippers. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The room was always cleaned well before noon. Never had to ask for anything. They have free parking (which in Key West is quite a find!) I would suggest this hotel to anyone and I would stay again.

Perfect place if traveling with your pets!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/06
My husband & I had a wonderful stay at the Chelsea House in the "Conch Suite" for our first anniversary. It was priced a little high for the summer, but the best part of the stay was that we could bring our two dogs! Our room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and we had our own private porch. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Even though the walk to Duval Street is a little long, I would definately recommend the Chelsea House.

Wonderful Place
By Bill, 3/10/06
Room was small, but cute and comfortable. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Outdoor area was attractive with such a warm pool temperature. Would definitely return if I don't decide to test the hundreds of other places in this paradise.

Didn't think worth the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/06
The toilet rocked back and forth when you sat on it, There was a wet spot in one bed. The continetal breakfast was inadequate for the price point -- stale rolls and weak coffee. Definitely not worth the price.

Loved it.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/06
We spent our Honeymoon at the Chelsea House and was delighted with the entire expierence. The staff was very helpful and our room was very inviting. We felt at home the week we stayed. When we return to Key West, the Chelsea House will be our stay of choice. Located in the Historic part of Key West gave us the scenery we hoped for, and at the same time we were close to all of the fun on Duval St.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/6/05
This was my second time at The Chelsea House. The staff and management were both excellent. I had friends getting engaged while there and the management went out of their way to make everything PERFECT (even the weather and dolphins). Parking is hard to find in Key West, but The Chelsea House has their own parking available and gives you one less thing to worry about on vacation. THANKS AGAIN YINZ GUYS.
