34 reviews for Santa's Lodge, Santa Claus
Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/10
This is the first time I have made a bad review on a place just because I don't like doing it. Well, Santa's Lodge was so bad this will be my first, and we travel A LOT! Service sucks, Rooms are tiny and nasty, Very overpriced, Food is nasty. We will never go back to this hotel and we hope that readers choose wisely.

Great Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/09
Our Weekend was wonderful. The people at this hotel were very nice, and friendly. We loved the decoration. Everything was Christmas. We are ready to book our room for next year.

Couldn't wait to leave!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/09
The area and the idea are perfect for families, the delivery is absolutely horrid. Santa's Lodge does a very poor job of living up to it's name. Each "event" (that you pay extra for) has a totally different Santa Claus, one of which was quite rude, not something you want to take your children to.

Filthy Gross
By T K, 08/14/09
This place stinks. Maybe the folks from Hoilday World should take over. We left without staying. They showed us three rooms, all that were dirty and gross. The first one even had flies buzzing everywhere.

By macattack, 05/17/09
what an out of date dump...the restaurant is in the dingy basement...the food is terrible...our room was on the second floor....the floor was squeaky..tv was dirty...floor wasnt vacummed in years...the a/c sounded like an airplane...we only got 7 channels on the filthy tv...black marks all over walls in room...beds were hard as rocks...the bathroom was small...the bathroom floor had old paint spots on it...paid $89 a night for this misery...the furniture and carpet in room was older then me(37 years)...frostys wasnt open...the gift shop is only open when they decide...it was closed the whole time we were there...dont listen to them about buying discount holiday world tickets..its only $4 a ticket...get a pepsi can.. and at the park in may you get $7 off a ticket...rude service...dont waste time here like we did..

Charming Hotel!!
By JulieS, 09/07/08
The hotel is charming and quaint. The staff was courteous, the manager was was very pleasant and the housekeepers were even friendly. Very Close to Holiday World, which is a great plus!!! The lobby is beautiful. The pizza shop, Frosty's was nice but the putt putt golf area needs maintenance. We wish the gift shop would have more to offer. Overall we were very pleased. We will return and we will suggest it to our friends and family. Prices were high, but they were high at all the surrounding area lodging as well. We will definitely return in 2008!!!

Our stay was good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/08
After reading these reviews I was leary of our decision to stay at Santa's Lodge. Needless to say - we had a great experience. We checked right in with no problems, had clean rooms and excellent customer service. Our rooms were on the second floor of the new section. Having traveled extensively, I did think the room prices were a little high for what you got, however for convenience it was worth it.

Better then exspected
By melissa, 07/31/08
I read all the bad reviews about this hotel and was a little nervous about going there, but loved the proximity to Holiday world. So I am happy to report that all the bad reviews for this hotel in my opinion are unfounded. It was clean and decorated just beautifully. The lobby was a real shock most hotel lobbies are all the same but this one was special. All decked out for Christmas, I felt like a kid again. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was just wonderful. They have two pools and across the parking lot is a pizza place with ice cream, put put and arcade games. So we had plenty to do while we were at the hotel. Our room was a deluxe queen with refrigerator and microwave. The beds were soft and we just had a lovely time. The highlight was when my husband took a walk around the grounds and we sat in the gazebo over looking the pond. It was just wonderful and we will be using that hotel every time we go down there.

Off to a bad start!
By Kimla, 07/30/08
We arrived early to purchase Holiday World tickets, obviously interrupting the lady's day. No smiles in Santa Claus! Holiday World was wonderful!! Very clean, lots of options for whole family! Then back to Santa's Lodge...room seemed nice, air conditioner worked fine. Tried to sleep, walls very thin! Kids in room beside us very loud!! Finally got to sleep about 2 am. We were getting ready to leave and I flipped back the bedspread on my daughters bed...and there was dried up vomit!!!! I very nicely let the manager know as I was checking out. She seemed to think taking $30 off my $152 bill was sufficient....so glad I paid extra for the ambiance!! Will never return to this hotel!!!! I've even emailed their customer service and received no response. Do not recommend this hotel at all!!! If i could give it less than one star I would!!

Santa would be sad!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/08
We were very disappointed by our two night stay at the "lodge". It was poorly managed, run down and overpriced. We had booked our rooms because of a brochure that had been given to us. I would like to see the rooms that were pictured in the brochure! Next time we will do our research.
