Good two star hotel but overpriced

The beds and linens are topnotch and comfortable. The room is very clean and the housekeeping staff very nice. Large flat screen HD TV in room but very few channels. No wireless internet and no fridge, safe or any extras. I paid $289 a night which is frightenly overpriced for this room. The off season rates are about $160. They couldn't offer me change for the laundry or for the $2.50 they charge for a Coke in the machine..

Good value for Miami area.

The Hampton Inn staff were friendly, the hotel was clean but unimpressive. The room was clean but otherwise average. Pluses for the Miami area were free parking and free hot breakfast, which was good. Location was convenient but immediate surroundings were shabby. Location was a mile or so from the water.

Bad Experience with Internet Access

I was very disappointed that the hotel, which promises and advertises wireless internet access, had such problems with the access. The first 24 hours I was there, the internet access was down. Then, the third day it went down again just before I was to have a web conference, and was down for another 4 hours.
