Red Carpet Inn Gatlinburg, Gatlinburg

this is the absolute worst place i have ever stayed. the woman who works there is rude, and pretends to not understand english, although when your complimenting her she speaks perfect english. the rooms are old and outdated and the service is terrible. my husband asked for a 3am wake up call. i know she understood because she said "3am why you get up at 3am" he told her specifically that he had to go to work at 4am. she wrote it down on paper. next morning, i woke up it was 430am, no wake up call. he was late for work and i called the motel as we were leaving at 440am (shes lucky we were in a hurry, i wouldve went off on her face to face), she said "you didnt ask for a wake up call, then she refused to give me contact info for a manager. stay clear of this place, its terrible all together. also the lamps did not work, and the blankets were scratchy and the towels/ toilet were dirty. and it was supposed to be a smoking room but the door had a non smoking sign on it. and we paid the extra for a jacuzzi and it didnt work either. STAY CLEAR IM WARNING YOU.

Our stay at this motel was from August 13, 2010 to August 21, 2010. We stopped at a rest stop and got a coupon book. With the coupon the room was about $27 a night for three people. The room had air conditioning, a blow dryer, microwave, and refrigerator. The hotel is outdated of course, so everything wasn't spotless, but it was clean and decent. The room service was good but not overbearing. She was careful not to touch and move around our things unless it was necessary (things on the bed, etc). The hotel had a pool that we used quite a bit. The pool was clean for the most part. We did go one evening and there were quite a few bugs in it but the water was always very clear. The next morning I saw the owners cleaning it. The ice machine and washer were both broke, which did cause a bit of an inconvenience for us, but not enough to complain about considering the price. There was a man and women who owned the motel. The man was very kind, but the woman not so much. She was quite rude to us. If I go back again, I will probably stay here. It was $150 cheaper than any other hotel we could find.

We stayed two nights here. Room was suppose to have hair dryer in it and it didn't. Bathroom sink was at the foot of the bed. Air conditioner only worked when it wanted to. Last night there we saw a roach about 3 inches long come out of air conditioner. We thought we killed it so we put it in an empty water bottle and gave it to owner when we checked out and he said he had never had this problem before, which we didn't believe. Ice machine was broke so anytime we needed ice, we had to go to office to get it. Put money in pop machine to get diet coke and got dr. pepper, tried coke and got mello yellow. Maid service was rude. I would advise anybody not to waste your money at this motel, pay a little more and get a good motel. Only wish I had. I will never make the mistake of staying here again.

This motel has an ad in the paper offering rooms for $110 a week. CASH ONLY. I called ahead to make sure, (my husband and I are waiting to move into a new home) they said $130 a week for 2 people, no problem. We arrived about 20 minutes later and the hostess told me it was $180 a week....I was like....I JUST CALLED. She said they were booked anyway and it was for another motel across the street. THEN she called. Her RUDE husband in and he YELLED at me $180 a week. I heard this place was a dump anyway. So now we're at the COLONIAL INN in Pigeon Forge for $30 bux a nite, indoor heated pool, breakfast buffet, amazing fluffy pillows and spotlessly clean!!

This was the nastiest place i have ever stayed. DO NOT stay here. Our room stunk, the lamps did not work at all. The smoke detector did not work. Me and my family were scared to stay there, then they would not refund our money at all. It's in a very bad location. Also the pool was GREEN. I will never be back and please do not take your family there.

when we arrived it looked...ok....but after we got into our room it was unbelievable how run down things were not very clean smelled funny and smelled real bad in front office...yuk...we couldnt find another room so we were stuck for the night we switched rooms the next day.....we dont advise this place to anyone its pathetic for the price

My fiance and I have a tradition of going to Gatlinburg every summer/fall. Its our little getaway from school/work. Red Carpet Inn is an extremely good value. The service is always friendly. We always stay in the jacuzzi suite, and have no complaints. The pool is well kept and deep, but still has a shallow end and a small kiddie pool. We always stay here and in this same room. It is located just off the main highway and very close to the Aquariam and shopping.

I read the reviews for this place and was a little hesistant about staying there but me and my family decided to stay there anyway and I have to say, it was a great place. Very clean, the manager was awesome and the location was amazing. Walk down the hill and say hello to Ripley's Aquarium and downtown. Also, Gino's Pizza is right across the street from Red Carpet Inn. We enjoyed our stay and when we go back we'll be staying there again.

Hotel has not been updated in quite some time!! We felt like the place was ok for $26 a night, fairly clean. Can't expect much for the money spent. The hotel's location is not that great, there was supposed to be trolley's that stopped in front of hotel, never saw those. If you don't have alot of money to spend on lodging and don't mind the out of date style then this is the place for you!! We won't be staying here again.

My husband and I have always stayed at the Edgepark Motel.We had never had a problem with them accepting a coupon. I had saw coupons for this place so we were just going to see how the rooms were. When we stopped the lady at the desk told me the coupon is only for 1 person per room and did not apply on weekends. she quoted me over twice the rate and gave me the keys to look at a room. The smell of mold was very bad. I could not take my disabled husband into that room. When I went back in and gave her the key, I told her we were going to stay where we usually stay. She had called her friend at Edgepark and told her not to rent me a room below $69.00 a night. They both have lost my business.
