Oak Creek Lodge, Gatlinburg

The hotel is on a quiet part of river road. Close enough to the main stretch of shopping. But, far enough away to be relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful with dining selections. Advised us what dining facilities were known for food poisoning. Very helpful!! Rooms up to date. Every room has a gas fireplace. Comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location. It was within walking distance of everything. It is located at the end of River rd. which runs adjacent to the main strip and is not heavily traveled so it was usually very peaceful. Most of the restaurants (Steakhouses etc.) are on this end of town. The room was very well maintained, and clean. Well worth the price. My wife and I had a relaxing stay. The outside picture is a bit misleading. The stream looks like the picture and is loud enough to drown out any road noise. The only detractor (if it is one) is that the Hotel, not surprisingly is surrounded on all sides by neighboring buildings, as this is prime location we were hardly surprised. I would recommend this hotel.

had a very bad experiance with them and their contracted ageency over a reserved room. We made a reservation tru an agency and found oy a month later we did not have a rroom there. They blamed it on each other

Overall, I had a great time at this hotel. The food was great, the people at the desk were very helpful, and always very kind. We had a great veiw from our room, it was rigth over the river, and you could see a little part of the town, and the front part of the hotel you get a great view as well. The only thing that turned me off about it was when the people came by to clean the rooms. One day she came by and we were trying to get everyone ready to go out, and we were trying to tell her to give us a few minutes then she could have the run, but while we were talking to her, she never said a word, she just walked away right in the middle of us trying to explain. So when we came back later that night, we found out she never touched either of our rooms. She came back to our room a few days later, and it was just us four kids and we told her we could go to our other room was she cleaned this one if she wanted, she wouldnt answer us, but instead once again just walked away while talking to her. We went enxt door, came back about an hour and ahalf later, and she still didnt thouch it. This may not be a big deal to some people, but she seemed really rude and didnt really care. other then that, thats about the only thing that turned me off. But the hotel was nice enough to take some money off our rooms for the day she didnt touch the room at all, so that was a good enough trade off I guess. But I would still definatly go back to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our time in Gatlinburg and much of that was due to being in a nice hotel room. We were close to town and walked to almost everywhere we wanted to go. Our only complaint about the room were the carpets. Our daughter ran around in her white socks and they would almost be black on the bottom before she went to sleep each night. Other than that the jacuzzi was nice and the fireplace was a plus.
