They Do Not Care - And It Shows
Location is best described as "in the Hampton Inn parking lot" the hotel is nesteled inbetween the Hampton Inn and a Clarion, not easy to find, no signage on the road.
Halls (carpet) and stairs were dirty with trash and mud.
The entry light switch did not control any light anywhere in the room. The lamps worked, but you had to stumble across the room and turn them on - and after turning them on I checked the switch operation again, however it still did not turn any light on or off.
The carpet had not been vacuumed as evidenced by the dead crickets and popcorn on the floor.
The temperature outside was 101, the room was about the same as the window was open and the AC was not on. Turning on the AC (a wall unit under the window, not a thermostate controlled one) was loud and prevented any kind of solid sleep.
The bedside clock was not set correctly by housekeeping, as it was blinking when I came in the room it should have been noticed by them, perhaps a power outage had caused this after the room was "cleaned". There was no battery installed in the clock (it has a place for one), and the power went out in the hotel at 10:30 p.m., came back on at 2:30 a.m. - would have been nice not to have to reset the clock again.
The "lounge" chair in the room was stained and dirty, and could not be used.
The in-room coffee maker had not had the coffee supplies restocked so making coffee was not an option.
The toilet was not fastended to the floor and rocked back and forth when you sat on it. It also had a water valve problem where the water ran continuiously.
The towel rack in the bathroom was pulled out of the wall and hanging by the right side, how does housekeeping miss something this obvious?
The T.V had the infrared control cover missing, although it did function using the remote.
The phone had places for multiple function buttons, all of which had been removed, there were 22 empty places on it, looked like it had been pulled from a salvage yard.
Bed was hard, not firm, hard! The pillows were more like mini-pads, I had to call for three additional ones to supplement the three on the bed, just to make about two good pillows with.
Breakfast - well, here the choices were many, including belgin waffles (make them yourself), but the cleantheness over all was lacking and I was not willing to risk more then taking just a cup of coffee and driving over to the McDonalds.
