Description

On the Paradise Gulf, about twenty kilometres East of Genoa, you will come across Camogli, a small fishing village with brightly colored buildings facing the sea. The hotel is situated at the feet of Promontorio di Portofino, in the midst of some beautiful gardens. The hotel building was an ancient doges' residence in the 16th century. It has been carefully restored throughout the years, and a chapel has been added where religious functions can be carried out for the guests.

Lovely and comfortable

Gorgeous location, within steps of the train station and with ample parking if driving. We had a view of the sea, well worth the extra cost. The room itself was in need of upgrading but was comfortable and clean. The bar area both inside and outdoors is simply beautiful. EXCELLENT service and the most wonderful place to watch the sunset. A quick walk to excellent restaurants. Fantastic private beach. Staff and guests were extremely friendly and we ended up sharing drinks and meals with guests. The only place I would recommend to stay in the area.

Beautiful Spot

The hotel is good but is the staff a little aloof. Wonderful sunsets at poolside. The best location in town... adequate accomodations but not luxurious.

Cenobio de dogie

We arrived by car signage to hotel excellent.Free parking a first in Italy!! Excellent location on the beach. Very hard to get anybody to talk to you guests or staff. Strange. We will return because the area is beautiful and the hotel comfortable. Sadly the garden view we aked for was the car park. Next time we will ask for the sea view even if it costs more. We laughed ourselves silly to discover it costs 30 euros to get onto the beach ( free though for hotel guests ). Thank heavens the beaches in NZ are not only cleaner they are not privately owned.

my son wants to honeymoon here

the rooms were nice w/ great sheets and mattresses but not particularly impressive looking. i was disappointed at the balcony wall being so high so i could only enjoy the view of the ocean while standing at the window. lovely hotel overall in a colorful, picturesque village with comfortable access to portofino, cinque terre, san fructosa (sp?), san rapallo, etc. the sound of the surf on the rocky beach was mesmerizing. i definitely would go back and my son said he'd go there on his honeymoon (and he's been on 5 continents and traveled quite a bit for a 17 year old). my son's friend said he go there with his girlfriend and ask her to marry him!
