Location, Location, Location
By BuddyJohnson, 1/25/10
I went with my wife on vacation and was very pleased with the service and location of this hotel. We stayed on the 4th floor facing the Acropolis and it was well worth the extra money. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. It reminded me of being on an all inclusive cruise. Anything you wanted, and very good. It was a pleasant start to each day. We walked everywhere because most attractions were in a reasonable distance. For a 5 star hotel, it's not a Ritz Carlton or even an upscale Hilton regarding room amenities. But that really depends on if you plan on spending time inside the room I guess. We went in September and it was the end of the tourist season. The weather was very mild but I still wanted to swim and use the hot tub. The swimming pool was not heated and the hot tub was more of a warmish tub. The people were very nice and helpful to any requests we had, making dinner reservations and recommendations, etc. I would recommend this hotel when visiting Athens.

Awesome

This by far was the best location. It is in the heart of the Plaka and worth every penny. It is safe, friendly, and near all the sights Athens has to offer.

Fantastic!
By Mary Mulderrig, 8/29/06
We loved this hotel. It's located in the heart of the Plaka with a stunning view of the Acropolis from the 4th floor, roof top pool. Our room was very well appointed and the plumbing was excellent, (if you've been to Greece before, you'll know that's a good thing). We were within easy walking distance of the Acropolis, Syntagma square and many other amenities. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Our stay included breakfast, which was a wonderful buffet, served in the elegant dining room. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Our experience in Athens was made all the more enjoyable as a result of our stay at this hotel. I would return there in the future and would highly recommend it. The value for money was not to be beaten.

Pleasant, Convenient Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/18/05
Perfect location within walking distance (a bit of a hike, but pleasant) of the Acropolis. Restaurants, flea markets abound in the area. Hotel was recently tastefully refurbished for the 2004 Olympic games. View of the Acropolis from the rooftop at night is spectacular. Service was excellent. You can find better restaurants by walking a few short blocks in any direction. Morning breakfast buffet, though meant to be hot, always seemed cold. Bar service was excellent. English spoken by most staff. Easy access either by foot or taxi to major museums, cathedral, shopping. All in all, a pleasant and convenient hotel.
