True 5 Star Experience in UK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/07
Beautiful heritage building recently renovated. Nice suites larger than average and modern clean lines and comfortable beds. Michelin Star restaurant outstanding but book well in advance if a weekend, Hadrians excellent for breakfast and the Palm Court outstanding vintage Bolly and such a relaxing end of day or lunch break and of course High Tea is superb. Nice pool and good nail salon but mostly the service and staff that make up the best part of the ambience at the Balmoral are trained SUPERIOR 5 star personnel with a SMILE. I know don't faint.
The Balmoral from the minute you arrive is welcoming and polite and humble without being overexaggerated. Yes it costs 4-5 star but if you want to spend your time and money and actually get value you need to stay here for more than a few nights just to experience the relaxation of something similar to being at the best Four Seasons.
Most US travellers will love the Balmoral because you actually get US style true customer service! Also it is central to everything to walk to around Edinburgh. First time visit for us but definitely going back to the Balmoral - also they can and will give you better rates at reception on suites etc on arrival if it is not their busiest season.
