Best Western is no longer a quality sign for us
Our family went to London on a weekend trip. Since this is not my first visit to London, I am aware that hotel rooms in general are small here. But in this room sized for 3 single beds, would normaly be only for 1 bed (maybe a double).
Going there became a problem to us cause the airliner had overbooked (as usually). Not the hotels problem of cource, but we called in and explained that the first night we would not be checked in, but we informed that we would arrive approx 8 in the morning the day after. Even though we had to pay for the room, no room were ready for us, we had to wait until 11:30, which I find to be bad service. We did not get any compensation at all.
The hotell bar.... don't bother. You have to use more energy to get a beer there, than it will take you to walk downtown.
The staff were not particularly service oriented. And they have no understanding for forreigners not having english as their primary language (which may be a bit sympthomatic for London in total).
Breakfast was not included with our rate, fair enough. However, we tried it one day, and it did not justify the price at all. And dont forget your identification papers if you want food, they don't believe you if you tell your name and room number.
The hotell were clean and well located only a few minutes walf from Paddington station, which handles both the tube and Heatrow express train.
