BEST WESTERN Gaillon Opera, Paris

My group of 5 ended up on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors and the entire time we were there, the elevator was not working. The staff was nonchallant and uncaring. My roommate and I had an inside room so our window looked down into a tunnel. There air conditioning was not yet turned on so our room was incredibly warm with no chance to even catch a breeze. The location is good because most everything is within walking distance but if I ever go back to Paris, it will NOT be to say at the Best Western Gaillon Opera House hotel.

Our family of 4 had a terrific 2 week stay at the Hotel Gaillon. Our two teens loved this place. They felt welcomed and independent because of the staffs' great people skills and its location. The hotel is perfectly situated near theaters, shopping and museums. The night life at the Palais Royal was a plus. Having a newly renovated bathroom is a luxury in Paris and we loved that feature, as well as having a self regulating air conditioner. The owner also has wonderful people skills and speak excellent English. I highly recommend this Hotel.

The hotel was very close to everything we wanted to see. Walking distance to the Louvre and to the Cityrama bus to catch the Versailles (full day)Tour (definitely worth it). The Opera Metro stop was very close which allowed us to buzz around the city on our 3 day tour. The staff was very helpful and friendly, even booking the Versailles Tour for us. The twin beds and pull out couch for the teenager were all comfortable. The elevator is cozy but manageable. Only other shock was the charge for Breakfast, we misread the info and thought it was included in the cost not just 'available' for an extra fee. But there were plenty of Starbucks within walking distance. Also is close to a large shopping area where Lafayette Galleries is - so we were able to add that to our itinerary easily. Very pleased with our choice.
