Hotel Brice, Nice

ideal location (would suggest you consider Hotel Windsor on opposite side of street as after staying at Hotel Brice for 3 days I regreted not booking that instead). I booked a twin room and although there were 2 single beds, all 3 days it was made up as a double.(!!!) The small fridge as obsolete(poor energy efficiency) and when I opened the freezer compartment door to check if their were any ice cubes it broke, meaning that the orange juice, etc in the fridge froze. The air conditiong did not function, and judging by the reactions I got the 3 times I reported this I suspect that this problem was already known about when I arrived, or that they have ongoing problems with their antiquated air conditioning system (1 - said she would take note, and nothing happened; 2 - the second person came to my room on Saturday evening, demonstrated how the control worked and after I asserted that it was obvious that the air conditioning was blowing out recycled warm air, admitted that nothing could be done until Monday and said he would write this down; 3) on departure I reported the air conditioning again to the person who had checked me in the previous Friday afternoon and their non-commital response (i.e. not even the hint of an apology or acceptance that anything was wrong) could lead me to believe that she already knew about the problem when I was allocated the room). Despite reporting this problem twice, opening the windows, and turning the air condition off to make the atmosphere bearable(so I could sleep) the cleaner switched the broken air conditioning back on while I was out so I returned to the clammy dense atmosphere one would expect with a broken air condition system. I feel that this hotel is geared up for business visitors and would bear this in mind before making a booking if your trip is for pleasure.

friendly staff; super cleaning in rooms - and hilarious positionning of daughters teddy in her bed every day. Great choice at breakfast. Will come back again. Ideally positionned for the station; the promenade and the shops too.

WQe had our honemoon there 50 years ago on the 21st June I dont think we needed service !! We inend to visit again the Brice on our 50th this next year. Best wishes

I found this hotel both dirty and noisy.The staff were by no means friendly and the food portions were small.It is not a family friendley hotel either.The towels were never changed.

Me and my husband really enjoyed everything. The location is great, rooms was clean and we hade a great time. This place was beautiful. The gates is a beautiful garden with trees.Help desk service is very good.

You realize this place is different than most hotels as soon as you see it. It's set back from the street a little bit, and through the gates is a beautiful garden full of citrus trees and flowers. Checking in, the staff went over a map of the city of Nice with us, circling important places and then personally took us to our room. For the money I spent on this room, I was incredibly pleased to get a very large corner room with its own seating area and small balcony that overlooked a quiet side street. Leaving the hotel the following morning, what left the biggest impression for me was the chef standing in the garden, pointing out to the gardener which lemons he wanted to be cut from the trees for the day's cooking. I mean, where else do you see that? It's close to both the beach, train station and the central business area. For the value, convenience and courtey of the staff, this hotel can't be beat. I'll stay here the next time I visit Nice.

the room etait clean, large and comfortable, there is a beautiful quiet garden, et generous breakfast.
