I would recommend.....
By ,
This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. The view of the Caribbean Ocean is great. There is a dining room right there in the hotel. It is within walking distance of the street vendors where they sell hand made items by the locals. The cruise ships dock just off shore and they set up for them. The only thing I did not like was the amount of steps to climb, but the staff are right there to help you. I would go back. You can't beat the price.

We would go back!
By ,
This was our first time in Belize. We really enjoy older hotels because of their character. The Chateau looks like a hotel in Belize should look. Our room on the front of the hotel was huge and very open. Our bathroom was redone and very nice. We enjoyed the resturant food and the service. We found the meals to be very a very good value. We would go back.

Beautiful view. Super-clean!
By ,
- Service: good but simple. People are not well trained but will do their best to help you. REALLY CLEAN! They change your linen and towels everyday and vaccum clean the carpet (Radisson -- just around the corner -- doesn't!). The carpet has some old stains but it is clean. - The hotel was a hospital 100 years ago. It needs some redecoration but it's still in good shape. - Room: I spent 2 weeks there (working, unfortunately!) and my room had just one double bed, a desk, a TV set over a small chest of drawers, one side-table and a place to put your luggage. Plus, of course, a closet. NO FRIGOBAR. - Restaurant: it is considered to have a very good food. I had to have my diner there every night, so I sort of got tired of it. I recommend the Lemon Chicken dish (it has a bigger name, I can't remember). They prepare it with a jelly-like sauce, really good. - Location: It faces the Caribbean and, from my Window, I could "only" see the "Marine Parade", the vast blue sea and a Marina. It's a peaceful view. I could go walking to downtown and to MIRAB -- a magazin where you can buy all pharmacy items plus other stuff. No groceries though. - Internet connection NOT AVAIBLE, but I bought a Kyocera Passport card from a local mobile company. It works really well! - No swimming pool, no nothing. Just the Hotel and the REstaurant. - BEWARE: There's no beach. Instead of sand, there's a fender made of rocks (some look like marble...). Maybe to protect against hurricanes.

We stayed at the Chateau Caribbean and found it to be very comfortable. It is an older hotel that has some narrow corridors and a lot of steps. It is located near the curise ship terminal with several good local resturants near by. It is next to the Radisson Ft. George. I would recommend it to anyone how is traveling to Belize.
