Good Value!!!
By KellyS, 06/18/08
That being said. You also must realize you get what you pay for. The service was very friendly, if not a tad slow at times. We had two rooms. One had a small bird dropping inside the door and seemed to be located in the "maid's quarters". There was always a cart and stuff outside the door. However, we found sheets and restrooms were clean. The neighborhood is very busy on a dangerous road. After crossing a footbridge, you are very close to a nice public beach. It's a short cab to everywhere else. There are some fun 24 hour bar/cantinas within walking distance. I would feel safe only in groups at night, however. This hotel has opened the option for a spontaneous winter weekend in San Juan at an affordable rate!

Friendly staff, close to airport!
By , 11/05/07
The office staff was very friendly, and the owner even walked me to a nearby restaurant so I wouldn't get hassled or lost! From the outside, you might not think this is a great hotel, but it's really the place to stay if you need to catch a flight or want to stay close to the action in Isla Verde. Very clean, and the pool is bigger than in most American hotels. This place has real class, and is affordable (even for this grad student!). P.S. Great beer selection in the lobby!

Going back next year!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/05
My daughter and I go every year to visit my father. This year we decided to spend a few days by ourselves. I was looking for an affordable motel within my budget. I found the Green Isle Inn to be exactly within my range. I was still in the vacinity of the Ocean without paying the price. If you just want a decent, clean place to hang your beach towel, this is the place. My daughter and I will definitely be back next hear.

Not bad for the price
By LadyCape, 06/02/05
For what you pay for, this little place is pretty cool. While it is not all modern like the top chains, I found that the free internet access, pool side room, and most of all, the great service makes it a pretty cool place to stay if your on a budget.

Not my Casa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/05
It is an old hotel and the facilities are in general clean but the rooms are very dissapointing. Not sure why they don't renovate the bathrooms. If the room was old but the bathroom and bed were clean people wouldn't leave. The location is not the best and parking is very limited. I am from Puerto Rico and hated it. There are low cost local "motels" with bad reputations that have better rooms that the Casa.

fair value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/14/05
The service was generally friendly, and it is very difficult to find a comparable value in Isla Verde in San Juan. The location is central, with bars, clubs, grocery stores, the beach, and other activities within walking distance. The rooms were rarely as clean as could be, and the towel provided have never been touched by fabric softener. No weekly discounts are available, and some people have left the Casa and adjact Green Isle because of low standards of cleanliness. The rooms are slightly smaller than more expensive hotel rooms, and there is only one Internet connection available (which I am using right now to write this review). The washer and dryer cost $3, but are not particularly clean.
