Plantation Village Beach Resort, Grand Cayman

I'm glad others had a good experience at this resort., we however did not. The grounds were fairly well kept, the rooms were O.K. but the customer service was zero. It all started out very poor and then two days into our stay someone burned down the lobby and we never heard a word from the staff about where to go for help, questions, or emergincies.Not to mention if the quests in thier care were O.K. The guests were the last concern the resort staff had. I would certainly not go back to this resort.

Hi, we recently spent a week in this resort, and I have to tell you that it was great. We stayed in of the pool view units, but that did not take away any from the stay. The condo was clean, well appointed, more than enough room, just about anything that you possibly need. What kept it from 5 stars all across? Well, the location on the beach is right in front of a rocky portion, there is a relatively small area open from the rocks fairly close, otherwise you have to walk down the beach to get away from the rocks. The other thing is that on the one day that they were replacing the towels they left our dirty ones in the condo, we just put them in the extra bedroom. Other than that, and this is minor, I have to say that it is a great place. There is a grocery store fairly close, and there is a wonderful public transportation system along the beach and to the downtown area.

Our first trip to the Cayman Islands was awesome! We stayed at Plantation Village in #6 (Ocean Front) and the view and sunset daily made our trip a dream!! We loved it and made the most of our 7 days there. We biked to Smiths Cove the first day. We had our kids with us (15 and 18) and they were a little homesick but after we went and swam with dolphins and Eden Rock to snorkel they perked up. Our favorite day was at Stingray City. I could have stayed there all day. That was the best. We also went to the Turtle Farm and of course walked, yes, walked over to the town of Hell! It was interesting. The humid heat was a challenge every day but I was getting use to it. You really do need to stay by and in the water. We were all happy at Plantation Village and we took full advantage of the BBQ and our kitchen each day. The staff was very friendly at PVBR. Jennifer was so awesome! I was in everyday asking her questions and she always had great advice for me and booked all my excursions for us. Thanks so much Jennifer!! Hopefullly now that we've been there we will visit again in a few summers. Next time we will be ahead knowing my way around a little better. Thanks to everyone at PVBR for a wonderful vacation! The experience begins with the friendly smile at the desk, and the courteous assistance for just about everything. Even the laundry person has a big smile whenever replacing the towels. We were really impressed when we saw the lovely villa, with its breathtaking sweep of the ocean, and the cool, fun carribean colors. Couldn't resist buying before we left.
