Mansion del Bosque, San Miguel de Allende

I am surprised to hear about the problems the other reviewer had with Ruth, the owner/operator of this inn. Ruth is an American who has been in Mexico for over 50 years, and has operated this inn since the late '60s. On our first trip into the interior of Mexico I didn't know what to expect, but once the street doors opened, I was enchanted. La Mansion de Bosque is basic (no tv or phones), but so picturesque and so charming that I would love to spend a lot more time there. I feel like I could talk to Ruth about anything. One of our favorite times of the day was enjoying a great breakfast in her dining room, where we have met interesting people from all over the world. I could go on and on, but just wanted to give another perspective on this great little hotel. We have been back several times and have never had a bad experience.
