Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta, 5 de Diciembre

this was our second trip to the holiday inn resort in PV. we spent two weeks last year (2008) at the hotel, for Christmas and new years. i have wonderful things to say about last years stay at the hotel - staff were great, service was wonderful ect ect. sadly, things have gone down hill at this resort. my family and i decided to go back this Christmas (2009) for one week, and due to our wonderful experience last year.. we decided to spend our week at the holiday inn. anyways, things went downhill from the beginning of our stay - the room smelt of mold, the toilet was leaking water all over the bathroom floor, no hot water, the shower didn't spray water. we then switched rooms, and the new room continued to smell of mold. the service was horrible, we had to call the front desk three times before coming downstairs to receive our own bath towels as the maid forgot to fill our room. two days later, a cockroach was found on the floor beside the bed. we called downstairs to the front desk to deal with this, no one came upstairs to address the bug issue. we ended up calling three times, then again, had to go downstairs and personally tell them. the entertainment is lame and repetitive.. the food is repetitive.. i know i will never stay at this hotel again.

1)The price they show on line is way different from what you pay at front dest. 2) Very noisy , definitly it is not a good place to have a quiet time 3) Front desk people are just good, but not very good to provide all information you need up front(It took 4 days for us to figure out there is ICE available on odd level ) 4) Bathroom is very ugly , need aserious touch up, 5) Fan in washroom is not working

I loved everything from the beach to wet bar because they have great service!

We were in Puerto Vallarta yesterday, and back home in Kanata today. Unfortunately, we were only there for a week. Service was very good from check-in to restaurants to maid service etc. We had a Jr suite with impeccable views of the Banderas Bay. A la carte restaurants were great. Buffet was good. Weather fantastic. We must return.

This was my first time in Mexico and Puerto Vallarta and I am glad I was able to stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff at the Holiday Inn was absolutely wonderful, they were so helpful when you needed something and had fun doing their job. The nighttime entertainment was well organized and the activites staff work day and night to make that possible, it was muchly appreciated! Everything was kept very clean and well maintained. We were lucky enough to be able to experiance a Mexican Fiesta for Easter, the Holiday Inn made a big fiest for everyone with great entertainment throughout the night. The location of the resort was also very ideal close to the airport and boardwalk. Overall awesome awesome resort, can't wait to come back next year!

Was there March 2008 and loved it! Everyone is courteous/friendly, location is great, right on the beach and food there is good. Nightlife at the hotel and around is amazing,I am already planning for next year!

We travelled to Puerto Vallarta on Jan.17th of this year. What an awesome time we had! We stayed 1 week at the Holiday Inn. Beware of the condo construction next door, (not that you are in your room alot anyway) they were working everyday. The food is wonderful, the staff, everything was an A+ in my books. The view from our balcony was just amazing. Taking in the "pirates of the bay" show is a must. What a time that was. Friendly people all around. I would go back in a heartbeat. Lori & Dan

My boyfriend, family and i recently went to hoilday inn for 2 weeks and it was fantastic..the service was awesome, everyone was always so happy. the rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh water..the bed was a little hard but you get used to it.the only thing that would have been more convenient was a fridge in the room.other then that everything was great and we would definitely go back!

My friend Jenny and I stayed at the Holiday Inn at the end of June. We're both 20 and we had a good time. The beach was not nice, it was pebbly and just not a beach that you'd like to see when your vacationing down south. The hotel was nice and clean (the only thing i didnt like were the old washroom tiles), staff was excellent, food was okay, shops were nice and the location was good. There's a local bus stop right outside the hotel and costs .50 cents USD per person to get downtown, its a very nice way to see the city. Downtown was very nice, lots of shops, clubs and bars and restaurants. The excursions were fun! We went on the Las Animas cruise which included horseback riding and i went parasailing, it was absolutely amazing! you can see the whole city!! Overall i had a wonderful time, just wished the beach was nice, but i would definitely go back in a few years.

I like the great view of the ocean in the morning. The staff were excellent and always made sure the hotel was nice and clean.
