Crowne Plaza Guadalajara, Ciudad del sol

This was an excellent 4-star hotel by Mexican standards. U.S. 4-star rooms tend to be a little more plush. However, the service was excellent. The bi-lingual staff was ready and willing to help with any question I had. The food was excellent. They have a more expensive restaurant on the rooftop that I did not patronize, because the prizes were a little steep. However, the lobby restaurant is more reasonable, although not cheap. However, if you're female, you're in luck with the 2 for 1 breakfast buffet (for "Damas" only) Monday-Friday. The pool is heated, which is nice because the morning and evenings can be cool in the Spring. The bellhops are always ready to get you a taxi or assist with you your bags. I always gave them a 10 peso coin ($1) for their trouble. The only minor complaint I have about the whole Crowne Plaza experience was that the free lobby internet service only worked 1 day out of the 6 days that I was there. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel.
