By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/13/08
I didn’t like the service. Employees are very rude, food is bad pretty much the same every day, the building is old and in very bad condition.

Would not recommed this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/7/07
I did not like the service at all. Employess are very rude and don't communicate with one another. When it comes to making changes they are not very pleasant or accommodating.

The Good and the Bad
By JetMan, 11/21/06
Had phoned a reservation directly w/ hotel staff several days before arrival. Upon check-in I was informed that my beach-facing room was no longer available. Staff offered me a suite , but wanted to charge me the full price. Management and I finally negotiated about 60% the suite price, much more than my reserved room would've cost. Suite was very large. Two balconies, each w/ majestic views and plenty of space. Front desk staff was cordial but sometimes less than efficient. Refrigerator and safe provided. On a subsequent night I moved into a standard room, which was quite adequate, still offering a balconey and great ocean view. Great location, for both beach access (obviously!) and shopping/eating. In February, the music blasting poolside was quite annoying, and carried, unfortunately, strongly well into the upper-level rooms. I suspect this was to attract spring breakers; when I visited the hotel in May I did not hear the blarring music. Two computers in a small room adjacent to the lobby meant high-speed Internet access was usually available when I needed it. Would consider staying here again, esp. if I could land a beach-facing room in the $70 range.

first time experience
By diana a, 5/10/05
i thought that my experience with the Calinda Hotel in Acapulco, Mx was a nice one. There are always going to be your cons & pro for everything of course. Its was my first time to any type of ocean so i was very excided so we got there and i went doing spring time so there where spring breakers every. so i made may friends. our room was ocean view two full beds with balcony hotel very clean only one thing room service wasnt that great, but other then that everything else was pretty good the hotel was in the center of everything i believe. i tell u one thing thats one trip ill never forget staff where very friendly hotel has valet parking, shops, fitness center, swimming pool.

Acapulco it's great, the hotel....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/7/04
The hotel it's not a good idea if you are used to staying in modern hotels with a lot of the technology, the building it's old and of course it has ancient aquitecture.

As it is known the staff is quite warm and very kind, the breakfast buffet was a steal, the food tasted like the frozen one you buy at the supermarket.

Also the beds were as hard as rock and the water wasn't as hot as you hope; in resume if you can afford a better hotel, go for it, acapulco offers a lot of options so dont waste your time and money in this hotel.
