Great Honeymoon!
By Cora, 6/26/07
We were on our honeymoon and were not only pleased with the room, but were given great chocolate dipped strawberries to enjoy while we were in the room. The pool and hot tub were a treat too, since not all hotels in Montreal have those facilities. And, we were pleased to the short walk to the night life and to the train. The concierge was very helpful in helping us get to what we wanted to see and recommending what to see while we were there. We look foward to seeing Montreal again and staying at the Omni Mont-Royal.

Great but challenging for Vegetarians
By April, 9/19/06
Last year, while other students spent their spring breaks dodging the crowds in Florida, I spent mine chilling out at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal in Montreal, Canada. It was fantastic! My room was clean, spacious, and came with a complimentary bathrobe and umbrella (which definitely came in handy since it rained at least half of the time I was there). Service was always prompt, courteous and helpful. I don't know what I would've done without the front desk staff giving me directions to local attractions or coming to my rescue when I got very sick during my stay. Best of all, I never needed a car! There was so much to see and do within walking distance that I either walked or took the metro (though I recommend that you either know where you're going or speak french well enough to stay out of trouble if you do the latter. Otherwise, it's just too confusing!). My only concern about the hotel was its food. Though it had two restaurants, a bistro and a chinese, I found it hard to find cheap, vegetarian lunch and dinner options other than icky tofu! Luckily, there were enough restaurants in walking distance to make up for this. I recommend this hotel to business travelers and anyone needing a quick break. But vegetarians beware! You may need to smuggle in your own food before you come!

Good overall value...
By Paul Trip, 9/1/06
Well sited and quite clean, the Omni is seemingly the best value of the many hotels I've visited in the city. Guest rooms are of limited square footage but are clean and comfortable. For those willing or able to pay, the hotel's suites are a fine option. The adjoining AmeriSpa (lower level) offers a superior day spa experience at somewhat reasonable prices. If the Omni does in fact possess any negatives they are limited and less than exquisite dining options, as well as on-site parking which is excessively over-priced when compared to nearby hotels.

Affordable Opulence
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/06
Omni is located in the Heart of Centerville, at the foot of both Mont Royal and McGill Univ. It is convenient to shopping, dining and the Metro. It is also a great base of operations to explore Montreals other neighborhoods. Our large room was on a high non-smoking floor. It was well thought out and was all a hotel room should be...comfortable beds, nice furnishings, quick internet connections and a compelling view of where you're staying. The facilities of the hotel are outstanding, especially the Pool/Health Club. Sometimes, you just need a swim, steam & sauna! As good as the room and facilities were, what set the Omni apart was its attentive staff. Our requests were met promptly and with grace. The concierge knew the city and was most helpful. Would I stay here again - you bet.

Not Quite Omni Standards
By Donald, 8/5/06
Omni Hotels are excellent, but the Omni Mount-Royal misses the marque's standards a bit. The room is adequate, but needing cleaning and refurbishing . . . tending to a bit worn. The small restaurant and bar is adequate, but undistinguished. Bar service is unexperienced and somewhat unattentive. Clearly, dining and bar services are not part of the hotel's primary objectives. This was our first-time at this Omni; we prefer Le Saint-Sulpice when in Montreal and find the overall value at Le Saint-Sulpice to be far superior to that of the Omni.

I loved everything from the lobby to the room. I have stayed in many hotels and this one was by far one of the best, right in the heart of downtown montreal!
