Great but challenging for Vegetarians
Last year, while other students spent their spring breaks dodging the crowds in Florida, I spent mine chilling out at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal in Montreal, Canada. It was fantastic!
My room was clean, spacious, and came with a complimentary bathrobe and umbrella (which definitely came in handy since it rained at least half of the time I was there). Service was always prompt, courteous and helpful. I don't know what I would've done without the front desk staff giving me directions to local attractions or coming to my rescue when I got very sick during my stay.
Best of all, I never needed a car! There was so much to see and do within walking distance that I either walked or took the metro (though I recommend that you either know where you're going or speak french well enough to stay out of trouble if you do the latter. Otherwise, it's just too confusing!).
My only concern about the hotel was its food. Though it had two restaurants, a bistro and a chinese, I found it hard to find cheap, vegetarian lunch and dinner options other than icky tofu! Luckily, there were enough restaurants in walking distance to make up for this.
I recommend this hotel to business travelers and anyone needing a quick break. But vegetarians beware! You may need to smuggle in your own food before you come!
