don't go here if you like a bath!

We stayed in December 2005 and found the hotel to be full of conraditions. While there were staff that gave us excellent service--the front desk staff and the lady who served us in the restaurnt come to mind-- there were just as many that didn't. Apparently we weren't the beautiful people. There was a parking attendant who couldn't find the car, couldn't give directions to a gas station and stuck his hand out for a tip. The concierge was more interested in selling the hotel than helping us find what we were looking for in Toronto. Brunch at the restaurant cost $60 for two, tax and tip included--but it was substandard for that money; the pastries were stale, for example.
The hotel does have a lovely view of the harbour. But if you are someone who enjoys a bath, you will not be happy because of a design flaw--the tubs are short, and there is a most unfortunate 'bulkhead'. It was impossible to lie comfortably because there is no place for your head to go, unless you can contort your body into weird angles. Worst of all, we learned that ALL the bathrooms are that way; we asked.
