This was great value.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/10
Really enjoyed this hotel. Went for the weekend and really felt we received good value. It was a weekend special, two nights for 249.00 plus 2 VIP tickets to the King Tut exhibit. In addition they provided a free shuttle service. The bed was really comfortable and they treated our little dog like a VIP canine. Can only recommend this hotel but didn't eat in restaurant or order room service, as we ate in restaurants in the area.

Watch the charge on your credit card!!!!
By Marty, 3/2/10
Was notified by my credit card company when I returned from a stay at this hotel, that there was some questions about two of my credit card transactions at this hotel. Both charges, where meal transactions, that had been adjusted up by $30 to $40 dollars on each. I called the hotel, and the billing department said that they would look into it. When they called back, they claimed that the amounts where correct and that they had called my credit card company to verify all was correct. I called the credit card company, and they said that they had not been contacted, but the charges to my card had been credited back to the card, and the correct charges applied. Almost looks like there is some kind of fraud going on with in the hotel. Be aware of your charges at all times!!

Good for a weekend stay
By Claire, 9/14/09
I stayed here for a conference. Although the bathroom looked like it could use a harder scrub, the room was large and comfortable with a great view of the lake. Yes, the location is a bit out of the way, but it is only a 10 minute (or less!) walk to Union Station. The service was supper friendly! I could not believe it. The food was over priced, but delicious.

Great Hotel!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/08
The breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous! The employees were very friendly and easygoing, so all in all it was a memorable stay!! The room was excellent, the barfood was great, and I felt like James Bond, walking across the foyer!! One drawback, however is that the smokers area are way too withdrawn from the main entrance. It was just Alright
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/07
Overall the hotel was nice, but the furniture in the room was dusty... especially under the flat screen television. We had also ordered a continental breakfast in the morning, "a basket of pastries, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, water", which turned out to be one pastry and about 5 small peices of fruit for the two of us. We actually had to call down to service and ask for our actual order, which he argued to me over the fact that what we had ordered was not what we received. I wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Bed bug bites
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/07
I was bitten by bedbugs when I stayed a night at Westin, which left several itchy red welts that form straight lines on my thigh. Buyer Beware.

Great bed and amazing view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/20/07
My sisters and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was luxurious and the view spectacular. There was a definite lack of information about services in the room - was the coffee free or would we be charged? Was there a fee to wear the slippers and robes they provided? Coffee and muffins that we ordered from room service cost us $38. On the second morning we got wise and went to the cafe inside the lobby and paid $12 for the same order. We enjoyed the Spa, although it was overpriced. On our last day we sat in the lobby bar area in big wing-back chairs and had cocktails and nachos. Great atmosphere and delicious snacks! If I had the money, I would go back here. The beds are worth it!

Loved the beds!
By Sara, 1/4/07
I have to say that my favorite part about staying at the Westin Harbour Castle was that they had excellent pillows and beds. The duvet was a down (or synthetic?) and so warm and cozy. I also enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It's not huge, but it was pretty. We're going back next week and I'm looking forward to it.

Some of the poorest quality cusomter care I have ever received
By Nick G, 11/15/06
I recently stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle in order to attend a medical conference nearby and was disgusted at the level of service that I received. The hotel itself was nothing out of the ordinary but it was the level of customer care at the desk that left me speechless. The desk clerk had us waiting at the desk for over 30minutes without giving us a word. He simply took our payment and without a 'thank you' or 'goodbye' he walked away. Atrocious. Whatever you do, do not stay at a hotel that makes you feel like cattle as this one does.
