Excellent
This place is definitely not given the attention it deserves. The hotel was great. The room I got had a great view of the lake and was clean, and had looked to be newly decorated (rm 1914). The staff were great and always smiling. The restaurant was perfect for a drink before going out. Its not the Ritz, but for the price paid, it was definitely worth the money, and then some.

Had a wonderful time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/11
Went to Toronto for a long weekend and got a room at the Primrose Hotel. Place was good. It was clean, the staff were pretty friendly and the room had a decent view of the city. Liked the location too as we could walk to pretty much everywhere so didn’t have to shell out for parking. There is an amazing steakhouse about a 5 minute walk from the hotel called the Mansion which is definitely worth the walk. No complaints with this hotel and would go back again.

Wonderful Visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/11
Went to Toronto and stayed at the Primrose Hotel on Carlton street and had a blast. The hotel was in a good location and we were able to walk to the club area.Additionally many night clubs were located nearby. some good entertainment clubs too. The room was good and we were able to check out late the next morning. The Tims in the lobby was an added bonus too.

Great location, good value
By Barry, 7/9/11
We booked this room at the last minute and we were still able to get the room and check in early. The room was very nice, quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable, better than most hotels we have been at lately. The staff was extremely helpful and overall we were very pleased. We were tired so we ate in the hotel restaurant. It's a funny little place with adequate food and service reasonably priced, but if you have time you may wish to eat elsewhere.

Good Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/07
I have stayed at the Primrose many times and have always been pleased. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is close to subway service, shopping and nite life.

Free Internet? I think not!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/07
At first site this place was amazing but that is where it ended. After I opened the door and got comfortable everything started going wrong. My biggest complaint has to be the fact that even though the hotel claimed to have internet assest I could not get my webpages to load the entire time I was there, and I stayed there for five days. I would tell the Managers ( who were of no help) and they would keep beating around the bush and telling me they were calling the tech to come fix it (he never showed) I was given the run around almost my entire time there. And for anyone who thinks it might have just been my laptop not the hotel connection. I went to a nearby internet cafe and connected with no problem yet when I went back to the hotel I got no connection again. Overall I loved the room but the staff there and the Internet ruined my trip to toronto. Would not reconmmend to anyone. Horrible!

No Complaints here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/06
This hotel was totally awesome from every aspect. Clean, big, friendly, reasonably priced for being downtown Toronto. Underground parking was a little tight to drive thru and park, but much better than being parked outside. It is limited parking, so try to get there early enough. There's a Tim Horton's attached to the hotel, WOO HOO. (Every Canadian's gotta love that!) We had King size beds, rooms are huge, nice furniture and no hair in my tub, or anywhere for that matter. Overall, this was an awesome hotel. Thanks! We will be back!

Good location
By A.J., 8/26/06
I stayed here with a friend of mine two years ago when we were visiting Toronto for a long weekend. The hotel was decent, reasonably priced, and in a great location near the gay district.

8 months liveing here and not comeing back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/05
I am a student at Ryerson and i stayed at the bestwestern for 8 months. overall i found to room very small expecialy for the price. another major issue was the internet, which when it was working was slower then dialup. i also had lots of issues with management whenever i needed to any help with things aside from maintenance requests. overall i would strongly sujest to go somewhere else, not hard to fine somewhere else downtown toronto for better value. I and many of the students will not be returning.

Good value for money
By Martin, 4/24/04
The hotel is one block away from the 1931 built Maple Leaf Gardens hockey arena that's been closed now since 1999. It's about 5 minutes walk from the College subway stop and 15 minutes walk to the Eaton Center, the major shopping mall. As a result it's not THE most centrally located hotel but it's really not badly situated at all and, if you can get a room for in the region of $80 Canadian, then it represents VERY good value for money. The rooms are large and spacious and reasonably well appointed with a fridge and a good sized bathroom.
