Hotel Corner Brook, Corner Brook

The ferry was delayed and I ended up in Corner Brook by midnight all hotels were sold out. The front desk at the Comfort Inn called several hotels, the only one with available rooms were... Yes you guessed! Hotel Corner Brook, they told me that was usually the last one to get sold out. I would find out why when I went to check it out. As soon as I stepped in the lobby a strong pee smell hit me in the face, but I still asked the front desk guy to let me see the room he had available. The hallway carpets had spills all over, the walls were dirty and when he opened the door to show me the room, that pretty much made my mind. I was NOT going to stay in that place, even if that meant to sleep in the truck I was driving, which is what I ended up doing. $85.00 for a single room there is outrageous! Better yet, staying there is just unthinkable! No stars for this hotel. I had to put one star otherwise it won't let me post the review, but it is worse than awful. It's a shame that this hotel has been allowed to keep the name of the city.

Me and my family were forced to rent a room there due to all the other hotels being booked solid. We bought the room, without looking at the place first . We went upstairs and the carpets were maggoty. The amount of stains is unbelievable. We ended up getting a basement room And it was so damp down there it was hard to breath. In the end we got our money back and were actually going to sleep in our car! We found a lovely b&b though. Hotel corner brook is a dirty, filthy place and I advise you to sleep elsewhere!!

I'm from Corner Brook but have been living in Toronto for the past 11 years. When we decided to get the family together, we knew space would be limited. My fiance and I volunteered to get a room and my first thought was Corner Brook Hotel. I was aware of the hotel before for obvious reasons and I knew it would meet my needs. I basically needed a cheap place to lay my head at night and shower in the morning since the rest of the time I would be spending with my family. The room was quiet and the sheets were clean (I actually saw them change them everyday, which is more than I can say for some well-known higher-end hotels) If you're looking for a room where you know you will be spending a considerable amount of time in and are the room service type, try Glenmill Inn or Holiday Inn, and be prepared to spend a little more obviously. Otherwise, I recommend Corner Brook Hotel. The price was awesome and the staff are the friendliest bunch. I will absolutely stay again at this hotel the next family visit we have.

look for somewere else to stay, this play is the worst place that I have stayded in my all life.VERY VERY DIRTY

this place is awesome....cheap good price if your a person thats on the go all day and just needs a place to rest..can be noisy..but thats nothing...its an awesome place to stay
