Clean, nice and trustworthy!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/09
My fiance and I stayed overnight in 2007. It was a fresh summer night, the room was clean, and we had a comfortable & relaxed overnight stay. The next day, half an hour down the road, I realized I had left my diamond ring on the bedside table. When we arrived back at the hotel (at least an hour later) I knew the room had already been cleaned because the drapes were open. I went to the front desk, told the man there what happened, and he said "Just wait, I will check something". He came back with a small envelope (marked with our room number and the date) that held my diamond ring. If you would like to stay in a nice clean place where the owners and the staff can be trusted - this is the place. Thank you to the people at Daigles Motel.

Very disappointed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/08
I had a family reunion in Maine so we left our luggage in the room before leaving and noticed a strong smell immediately when we entered. We were hoping it would be better when we arrived, but when we came back, it hadn't. The sheets felt humid and we even found 3 big black bugs in the room. My daughter used the toilet for "number one" and it overflowed. My husband walked in the mess to turn off the water shutter. Thank God he was there, because I wouldn't have known where to do that and the mess would have been much worst! Unfortunately, it had already spilled right to the room's carpet... I ran to the front desk and rang the outside bell (it was close to 12h30 a.m.), but no one answered. I came back to the room to call front desk and the gentleman who answered was not impressed. When I asked for a plunger and a mop, he said he would get up. He was in the room five minutes later with a large hamper of clean towels. He didn't talk to us nor did he even look at us. My husband told him he turned the water shut off, but he didn't thank him for that either. He wiped the mess with his towels and used the plunger in the toilet. Nothing was cleaned, only wiped. Since the smell was still nasty, I asked him as he was on the way out if it was possible to get another room. When he said it wasn't possible, I asked if it was too late to get reimbursed. (I was ready to drive all the way home or to two nearby hotels to a clean room.) He declined and also refused to give us a rebate on the fee ( 99.00$ + tax) saying that "these things happen". Yes they do, but if I had been home, I certainly would have cleaned the floors with a cleaner to freshen up the place. My sister also had a room on the first floor and had the same smell in her room. We all slept with our clothes on and were happy to go home the next day.

Great Holiday Stop
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/06
We have been travelling to PEI for a number of years, and always stop at Daigles motel. We reserve one of their cottages, and the kids have come to look forward to this part of the trip as much as our final destination. Love the pool, always enjoy the restaurant and it's close to the highway. We found this spot by chance years ago, and we will continue to reserve our cottage every year!!

What A Great Spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/05
About four years ago, we stopped at this little town in New Brunswick and ended up staying at Daigles. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were very clean and large enough for our family of four. The pool was clean and plenty of chairs etc to sit at. We also had the opportunity to try the menu at the motel's restaurant. I was very pleased with both the food and service. Two years ago, we planned our trip east to include a stopover at Daigles and we plan on doing this again this year.
