Beautiful!

Very nice hotel in an ideal location. Not inexpensive, but if you want an easy walk to Gas Town or China Town this is your place!

Great location
By Dan, 1/26/08
Great downtown location central to business as well as the night scene. Plenty to do and see. The service was great although room service was a bit pricey. The food was good but you are better off going out and finding someplace else to eat since there are many great restuarants in the area. The mini bar was also very pricey - $8.00 for a beer, $4.00 for a very small bottle of water but the ammenities in the rooms were fantastic.

A slice of heaven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/4/07
On a vacation trip to Vancouver, B.C., my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Metropolitan Hotel. They made our stay such a pleasurible one. Friendly and curtious staff members made this trip one to remember. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers.

Awesome.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/20/06
It was very relaxing. I had a great time. I came with my friends and three dogs. And they treated us so well. There was one guy who was a little bit rude. but otherwise. it was awesome.

Best boutique hotel
By Ariela, 4/11/06
Great location, wonderful service and fabulous restaurant. Central location - makes walking around downtown easy. Diva at the Met is one of the best resturants in the city...so ordering room service or eating the resturant is always excellent.

Great alternative to the more expensive neighbors
By AC, 2/8/06
At about $120 US/night, it's about $50 less than the downtown Fairmont or Four Seasons nearby. It's definitely not in the seedier part of downtown Vancouver. 5 minutes to Robson Stree. My room was clean, but on the smaller side - that doesn't really bother me. The furniture was pretty contemporary and updated, definitely not shabby. I loved the wooden walls by the bathroom and closet. The TV was a good size. The staff and concierge was great. Really friendly and helpful in answering all my questions about skiing, directions, and the museum. Best thing of all was free wifi in the lobby (though not in the room).

Something different!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/30/05
Walking in the hotel room (which had its lights on to welcome us), we were greeted with oak doors, trim and furnishings. The built-in side cupboard with seating/room for luggage was a nice touch, oak cabinets up above for storage gave an oriental feel to the room, something different from the normal square hotel room that we're all used to. Each side of the bed had 2 light switches, one for the light next, and one for the whole room. Auto light in the clothes closet also. Details like this showed that someone thought into the design of this hotel. Only complaint - the price was a bit high as we stayed in late September and paid around $200 Cdn per night (business expense), where we have stayed at the Hotel Van and the Hyatt for much less (around $140 Cdn) - but the experience was less enjoyable in the other hotels as well.

Impeccable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/05
For $130 US on hotwire we couldn't have hoped to be treated like royalties. But we were every second we spent at this wonderful hotel. It is located across the street from Four Seasons and next door to Crown Plaza. Shopping mall - Pacific Centre - is one block away, as well as Robson Street. Staff is courteous, helpful and neat. Hotel has swimming pool, gym, business center, e.g. computer, fax, copy, scanner machines and printer, rooms have internet hookups. Goosedown blankets, beds that you don't want to leave in the morning, breakfast at Diva - an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
