Nice Stay

I spent a couple of nights with 3 other family members. We had a clean room with comfortable double beds at the 15th floor with an awesome view of the city. The front desk service was good, and the housekeeping service was flawless. Very good buffet breakfast, though not included in the rate, but adequately priced. The location is not walking distance from downtown, but the area is loaded with nearby good restaurants. Affordable parking in the same building. The business centre was available at a very high cost... unworthy!!

Dissapointing

The hotel is close to downtown 'on the map' but in practice it is not withing walking distance. There is a shuttle to downtown and Stanly park every hour but it does not do pick-ups so you only get one way... how stupid can this be! If you have a car, it's 5 minutes drive to downtown and Granville Island and also not far from Kitsilano so your only concern is parking. The rooms are OK, at least the one I got. service is not that great. Air conditioning in the room is old and noisy. A big problem since many rooms face east and get warm in the morning. The blinds do not block 100% of the light which can wake you up early. The experience was generally OK, but next time I will look for a different hotel.

Run Down

This run down Hotel managed to rip off anyone that is going through it's doors. The elevators breaks down often, behind those clean wallpaper wall are meldew infestation due to pipe leaks, 25% of a/c running without filters!!! recently encountering bed bugs problem. The only positive thing is if you happen to call Holiday Inn corprate headquaters you'll get discounts $$$.

A good stay

Stayed in for a couple of nights, staff was very friendly, mothers' luggage was lost by Air Canada (showed up 1 week later, different hotel, oh boy, I never heard the end of it, even to this day), staff was on top of it and never dissapointed us. Location is great and room on high floor was very quiet and clean. Used the pool, it was clean, and the small gym had adequate enough equipment for a workout. Would recommend and stay in again, just make sure to ask for a room on high floor, lots of conventions and parties on lobby floor may push sounds to immediate above floors. Parking isnt cheap, but Vancouver sure knows how to rip everyone off in that arena, regardless if you are parking on street on in pkng facilities.

Place is a dump

This hotel is a classic example of how much people can be con to pay to stay in a run down buliding.The elevators broke down often, room keycard don't work always, a/c units are too old to funtion, saw staff remove mattress due to bed bug infestation !!! If you are brain dead, go ahead and check in, due to family medical treatment i stayed there couple of times, never ever again.

Will not go back

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I expect a certain standard with a hotel associated with the name Holiday Inn and I didn't find it here! The place was rundown, there was hair on our bathroom floor, the room just didn't seem clean, it looked well worn and abused. We paid over 150.00 for that room, so I was thoroughly not impressed and would never go back. Executive Inn is the way to go.

A Goldilocks Experience

This Holiday Inn is just a little bit off the beaten track, in a medical area, which makes it very quiet and comfortable. Close enough to walk to major attractions such as Robson St., Granville Market, and even Stanley Park (though it's not a short walk). The staff were very friendly, greeting you at every turn, and the pool/sauna/fitness area outstanding. I especially liked the pool as it's very light and the water is not over-chlorinated, the temperature ... just right! We had a balcony room and the view was tremendous. Would definitely stay here again. P.S. very fast 'net connection, over 2 Mb!
