RUDE
By ,
I didn't stay there - I just called and inquired if they were wheelchair accessible - the fellow at the front desk said no sorry we're not and hung up on me. Apparently people in wheelchairs aren't worth the time, effort, or consideration. If they are on a ground level, or have elevators it could have worked for us. However, since I wasn't worth asking if what they had could be accommodating they certainly won't get my business - and I'll be sure to pass along to others my experience - whether they are in wheelchairs or not.

A challenge for the disabled
By ,
We chose this motel because of it's location and from that perspective were not disappointed. We had an appointment at the Foothills hospital and it was in close proximity. When I made the booking, I advised the staff that my husband is disabled. We had an executive suite on the second level because I wanted my husband to have easy access to the large bath tub. We were unimpressed with parking, as we had to park at the back and the end parking lot was one way and narrow. We had to go all the way inside past the swimming pool to look for the elevator. This was not easy for us. On returning from the hospital in the evening, all of the parking spaces at the rear were FULL. Fortunately for us a couple were leaving and I was able to take their space. I thought it was ridiculous that parking spaces were not numbered so that guests could have an understanding of which space was theirs. The hairdryer in my room was out of order, the towels were small (I would have expected them to be thicker and larger for a luxury suite). It took me a while to figure out how the air conditioning worked...but our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was satisfactory. We have to go back to Calgary next week for another appointment at the hospital and choose NOT to stay here again because of the parking situation and lack of access for the disabled.

Budget hotel under construction
By ,
Hotel was going through major construction. Restaraunt closed. Dusty. But, room was comfortable and free wireless access helped make up for the inconvenience. Hotel staff was friendly. They were helpful in recovering my cell phone left in a taxi.

Save your $$$
By ,
This place looked nice from the outside but has very dirty rooms and bad service. Our bathroom door did not close and all we could get was boiling hot water in the shower. As well the parking area is very small and cars park way too close together. We went out for supper and came back to the hotel and there was no parking spot for us. I had to go to the front desk and ask what to do. The staff was not friendly. They told me to park in their "underground parking". This was a joke. Their "underground parking" was the scariest place ever. The ceiling of the parkade was so low I could touch it with my fingertips. The smell was musty, moldy and nasty. On the way out of the "parkade" we found out where the smell was coming from. There were at least 100 old dirty smelly used matresses piled up to the ceiling at the back of the parkade beside the exit. It was the nastiest smelling and looking thing we have ever seen. Don't stay here unless you have a strong stomach!

nice trip
By ,
The hotel was fine. It was what I expected. The best part of the hotel is the people who work there. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I had no problems with payment, etc. Everything went really smooth.
