Great, Woderful, Friendly, Cost-Effective

On the weekend of August 15, 2008, I, my wife, and nine other members of my extended family spent four days and three nights at the Rafter Six Ranch Resort. It was with great pleasure that we thank all the staff of Rafter Six Ranch Resort for their friendly service. I thank Mr. Cowley, the owner, for providing us with the many fond memories that we received during this time. Of course, 32 degree Celsius, 89.6 degrees Fahrenheit for you non-Canadians, weather also helped considerably.
We rented two chalets and three cabins in total. We were particularly interested in the past history of the Rafter Six Ranch. The swimming pool was of interest since it was the place to go to cool off during the extreme hot spell that we encountered this particular weekend.
Staff members such as Jennifer, who providing all the booking for us, Jason, the bartender, Casey, on the front desk, and Kateri, who was the guide on our carriage and wagon rides were wonderful, pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Thank you very much!
The restaurant staff was friendly and courteous. I thank Kelly and his staff for going out of their way to provide delicious, varied, and wonderful meals. To make a point, breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. One of the members of my family had to leave at 7:30 AM so that he could be at a meeting at his place of employment. I asked Kelly if the members of his family could have something to eat before they left. The staff went out of their way to provide the necessary meals at 7:00 AM so that everyone was fed before they left. Thank you, staff!!
From the complaints I have read, if one had done a little bit more research, one would discover that within 45 minutes drive of the Ranch there are a number of additional activities that are available and can be enjoyed - perhaps golf at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club, a fantastic and scenic adventure as enjoyed by three members of my family, or perhaps a visit to the Nakoda Lodge, just a few kilometers east of the Ranch, or perhaps even a canoe adventure on Chief Hector Lake, located by the Nakoda Lodge, or how about a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, or how about a trip to Calaway Park, a 45 minute drive east of the Ranch, or finally how about a trip to Banff, Canmore, or Kananaskis country?
We definitely will be back!!!!!!!
