it was nice enough...for a HOTEL.
I stayed at this resort with a friend who was attending a conference of some sorts. I didnt attend the conference myself, but my friend had asked if I wanted to tag along since I had nothing planned for the weekend and it was free. I looked on the website for ideas on what to do on my own at the resort and thought I would be fine after looking at the variety of recreational activities the had listed. Once i arrived however, i realized how inaccurate this list was. The indoor pool was closed, and the outdoor pool (though open) was filled with leaves and dirt. Many of the other activities they had listed were not available, either at the time I went or possibly at all (I went in the late spring). The were no boat rentals available. The "hiking" turned out to be a 15 minute walk through a field. There were also no kids activities, which didnt matter to me, but I could see being a problem for families vacationing here. The resturants were very good, and the service was relatively nice as well. the staff was very friendly, but as other reviewers have noted, the appeared to be no one over the age of 22 at this resort. There were many additional servies provided (computers to use in the lobby, tennis courts, a game room, phones in the room), but what isnt mentioned on their website is that you are also charged for all of these services. So if you were hoping to play some ping pong or make a call, expect to be charged for it, and not at reasonable rates either. The rooms were spacious, had large televisions, and comfortable beds, but for a resort, they were less than adequate. My conclusion after my weekend stay was that it was a nice enough place to stay for a few days, but not for a resort. Since it was free for me, I enjoyed the time I spent at the resort, but if I had payed for it, I would not have been happy. For the resort like prices that are charged, it definitely isnt worth the money.
