Stay away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/09
The hotel sit at the end of a dead end street and has a very unpleasant look. To be honest it looked abandoned. The only thing that I liked about this place was the lady who checked me in she very nice and helpful. Several of the days that I stayed my room was not properly cleaned. I had to change rooms twice because there was problems with the toilets, phones and tvs. The room that we stayed in had no remote to the tv. Also the hotel only has heat or A\C so eventhough it was warm during the day it was very cold at night and we had no control over the air. They did have a small space heater at the desk but they were out of blankets and pillows. To make an even long story short I would not recommend it and it was not worth the money. This hotel would be more suitable for a truck driver looking for a nap before they get back on the road.

It's a good place..
By KayH, 8/23/09
We have used Rodeway for years for our out of town guests and large dinners. I toured it again in Aug. 09 and then booked my 11 guests from Norway there. Yes, it's dated, but it is inexpensive, quiet, the rooms are big and have all the basics including free internet now, and the pool looks great. There is a free, small breakfast and a bar, washer and dryer. BUT most importantly, THE STAFF all are friendly and ready to help! Perfectly satisfactory.

Wasn't this place in a horror movie????
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/07
Outside is very creepy and gives you the impression of a 60's hotel. The satellite dish in front sums it all up. I am amazed they don't sell the rooms by the hour to be honest. Front Desk staff was very helpful, and the man who checked me in was courteous. Cobwebs in the hallway, and a few bugs in my room. Just laying on the bed gave me the impression I was going to get crabs. Parking lot was also quite empty..... There was like 3 cars in a 160 room hotel???

The Most Horrible Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/26/07
I will give it to you straight. I stayed there and I will never return. The rooms were average size. Our room had two beds, an open closet, dressers, a small bathroom with toilet and shower, a hairdryer and iron (I was suprised), a desk, a table and a small TV. I tell you with no sugar-coating the truth, there were earwigs in our beds. They crawled into our open bags, clothes, you name it. They were also in the bathroom. The rooms were not very well taken care of and needed updating badly! I feel that they care more of the pool than the rooms. It is an awful place, I warn you, do not go there.

Bare Bones
By Sally, 6/12/07
The room I stayed in was clean, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The staff was pleasant. However, the hotel itself is extremely dated- I felt as if I had stepped into the early 70's when I walked in- and if you'd like to take a walk after dinner around the hotel you're out of luck because it's in an industrial area. Also, for what it's worth, the TV reception isn't the greatest and there's not much choice for channels if you're hanging out in your room. But, hey, it only cost me $60 a night, so what do I expect? It was a decent place for me to set my stuff down and sleep while I hit Madison.

Wonderful suprise!
By tlreetz, 6/4/07
We reserved our room online because it was a budget price. We expected a "budget" hotel in every sense, what we got was a BIG suprise. The staff was VERY friendly, the room was HUGE and very clean!! The hotel is concrete consruction so it's VERY quiet!! The hotel is located at a dead end, so there is not traffic driving by. You are just off the Madison Beltline Hwy, but you can't hear it at all! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!! You will be pleasantly suprised!

Pleasant surprise
By RACHEL, 10/1/06
Although an old motel it was well kept up and comfortable. The halls were spotless. The pool was large, warm and very clean. The food for dinner was excelent! A very pleasant experience.

Never Again
Rude cafe attendant. Could not bring in Milk substitute. No internet access of any kind. Away from anything useful. Not convenient. Need a car rental to get around.
