Great location, Friendly Staff!!!

Traveling with spouse; great location and Onsite fabulous restaurants. Folks at front desk were very friendly and everything was in order when we arrived. We had a Queen bed and our room was furnished adequately. Comfortable mattress and linens were okay. Everything in the room looked Fresh and Perfect. The restaurant has great food for a decent price. Housekeeping did an excellent job; my room was immaculate and well stocked. We enjoyed the Pool which was clean. The Hotel is located to Mississippi Explorer.

Smelled and outdated

We got a room here and it smelled like musty so we asked to be put in another room which they did but that room also smelled poorly. The rooms have not been updated in a long time and you can really tell and they need to do some maintenance on some of the air conditioning units as I think that is what really smelled. The only good thing about the place is the pool.

Business or Pleasure

I have stayed at this hotel numerous of times for both business and pleasure and it is a very well maintained and convenient located facility. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful calling each guest by name after a few stays. The rooms are large and well kept with some of the most comfortable mattress's that can be found without going to a dial-a-bed. The comforters are plush and the pillows are plenitful. Free wireless internet is a plus along with a large business desk in each room. The full service restaurant is open for dinner each night with entrees that would rival most any 4 star restaurant. The lounge is open late with live entertainment on some nights and a reduced menu available. The free continental breakfast is well supplied with numerous choices of coffee, juices, cereals, oatmeal, bagels, toast, muffins, and fresh fruit. For a small additional fee (3.00?) you can get a hot breakfast bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, and other items found at a breakfast bar. The wait staff is there to help and cater to both the business and family guest. Ask for a room away from poolside for added comfort. That is the business side. The family side is this: I have stayed here with my family 5 times over the years from the time my daughters were small enough to only use the kiddie pool and it has been a blast each and every stay. Ask for a poolside room for the convenience of both you and the kids. The "Big Kid's Pool" is somewhat small but hardly ever overcrowded and the water slide is more than adequate for a smaller indoor facility. If you are looking for a indoor water park, and that only, you might not be as pleased as with other locations. The best part of staying here with a family are the over-sized rooms that accommodate two queen beds with plenty of room left over. Overall, a Great place to stay.

stay just ok

The room was decent but the staff here could use a lesson on hospitality since they work in the industry. The stay was full misinformation and the pool was nice but is more for a family with little children. The swimming pool is only 3ft deep and is smaller than it appears to be in the photos. The pool also closes at 10 and that is on the dot and they close the game room at that time too which left a dilema for the older children who were still ready to go at that time. Also the slide is only open when there is a lifeguard and when it is open the pool area is cut in half. which makes for a small swimming area. The included breakfast had a decent selection but I called down to the desk and asked when the breakfast was the night prior and they said until 10am and then we went down at 9 am and the sign said it was until 9:30. So they need to work on Communication there.

nice clean rooms in a large old rambling motor lodge. I'd bring kids back for the indoor water park and pool side rooms. I'd also come back to try their dinner specials.

clean - good pool area. convenient location right off the interstate in lacrosse wi. resturaunt attached to the hotel. close to river if you have a boat - they have a marina you can use.

Will Visit Again.

Pro: We had a real good time. The bar & restaurant were nice & enjoyable. The kids really enjoyed the pool area. Nice, will be back. Con: I thought there was going to be a beach on site. There was not. The rooms could have been a little more clean and in better shape. It worked.

Good value

It was clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was adequate and good (Additional $ bought you made to order omelets.) Location is good; nice setting on the river. Con: The air conditioning system broke for the whole hotel. It wouldn't be fixed for at least 24 hours. I was glad we were leaving that day. It would have been very uncomfortable in our room that night.
