Never again....
By Judy, 05/20/08
I had booked a "park & fly" pkg at best Western since I would be flying out early AM on May 11th, 2008 & needed a place to leave my car. Check-in was very slow, altho professional, with only 1 person working the desk. Upon entering my room I discovered a half-eaten chicken dinner left on the table in a styrofoam container. Luckily I found John, a maintenance worker, who disposed of the leftover meal. I was also lucky to have Christy as my waitress that evening. She's excellent!! Upon my return, I had to wait 2 hours for a shuttle to pick me up from the airport & transport me to my car, which is basically across the street. I had called BW 6 times to let them know I was waiting for them & each time I received the reply that a shuttle was on it's way. A cab driver even called them once to let them know I was waiting, to no avail. After 2 hours a shuttle showed up & took me to my vehicle. The driver said that she didn't work for Best Western but the hotel she worked for had gotten a call for help from Best Western requesting they send someone to get me. I could have flown to Philadelphia in the time it took them to send a shuttle for me...AND I paid extra for this service! They never gave me a reason, apologized for being late or even attempted to contact me afterwards. I would not recommend the "park & fly" option. However, the staff at the hotel was friendly & my room was clean, except for the left-over chicken dinner.

not a place to go just to get away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/08
First off when we arrived the parking lot was soo full of cars that it took us a long time to find a spot. Once we checked in we went to our room only to find someone else was already checked in to the room. So they had to move us. Hotel was very full due to airport delays. Pool area was nice but weird seeing you needed a key everytime to enter the pool area in a holidome. Then the staff kept kicking children under the age of 16 out of the hot tub.The restrooms for the pool where far away (you had to go out past the lobby into an area where people are going for wedding receptions). The pool was only open till 10 and didn't open till 8 a.m. The rooms were ok but no fridge or microwave. The shower head was low and was hard to take a decent shower especially with barely any water presure and hot water would vary greatly throughout shower. Not much fun for just a get away night.

Great for stay-and-fly
By HouTex, 01/03/08
Booked through Best Western web site. With an 8:00AM flight and the prospect of rotten weather, I decided to spend the night before near the airport. This was the only motel I found at a reasonable price which had both free parking(up to 14 days in conjunction with your stay) and a hot breakfast. It worked out very well, being able to enjoy sausage, eggs, and a waffle at 6:00AM and then go to the airport for a 4 hour journey. The only downer was that the check-in was staffed with only one person, despite the place being booked full, so it was slow. I recommend the place and would stay there again.

Keep up the good work...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/07
I have stayed at the Best western a few times with my children. we love coming here just to get away sometimes. I would come and bring them more, but bills are pretty high now thats the only reason we have not been there. I have been to many other hotels, just to take the kids and get away. This is the pretiest one yet. The greenery in the pool really gives you a good feeling.

Is there a light in this place?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/06
I wanted a hotel by the airport and with a pool - this fit both billings. That's about the best thing I can say. The lobby looks fabulous and in the day, I'm sure it's lovely. At night it could be the setting of any movie involving a haunting. The long, twisted walk to the antiquated elevator revealed it's seclusion and many blind spots. Although nothing happened, I didn't feel safe. The room was equally dark. The safe door would not close, so I had to turn the entire nightstand around. There is little ventilation in the bathroom, which might be why the water stayed lukewarm in the shower, but still the condensation creates obvious problems in there. Overall, not the best Best Western I've ever been in.

We will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
We stayed one night at the Milwaukee Airport Best Western Hotel on October 3, 2006. My husband and I are not usually complaining travelers however our room was not clean nor was the hallway. We voiced our concern to the hotel clerk. They indicated that housekeeping would be notified (the next day). There was no offer to reduce our cost or other compensation. We will not return to this establishment nor would it be recommended.

We would love to stay here again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/05
We had a poolside room across from a beautiful aquatic atrium. There were actual trees in alongside the pool! The room was spacious and well kept, and the hotel was near many resteraunt facilities. the bathroom was a bit disapointing but cleanly. There were laundry facilities and a barage of vending machines as well. There were video games in the pool area. The pool was clean and clear and everything was well lighted. I would definately stay here again.
