A little outdated, but awesome place to stay!
We got a special Valentine's package online, without even checking this place out. When we walked in, I noticed right away, it could REALLY use some updating. It has a really late-seventies/early-eighties feel to it. (i.e. mirrored ceilings, paisley/flowered bedspread, flowered shower curtain). Anyway, we got the King Whirpool Suite (which was an upgrade for the V-day package), champagne, drinks in the lounge, dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast brought to our room. First off, the lounge bartenders, were super-friendly, super nice, made you feel right at home, like we'd known each other for years. Second, the restaurant dinner buffet was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! This buffet served prime rib, leg of lamb, pork chops wrapped in bacon, beef wellingotn, shrimp scampi and tons more! I couldn't believe the choices! And the dessert table was temptation at it's highest! The wait staff were all very nice! For an extra $5 a person, we "splurged" on tickets for the comedy show which brought tears to our eyes quite a few times! The homemade pizza was delicious! And breakfast brought right to our room? That rocked!
The only negative thing I can say about the clearwaters is that is needs some cosmetic attention. If you can get past that, stay here and you will have a good time and get good sleep!
Would we stay here again? Definitely.
