Gordon Lodge, Baileys Harbor

My partner and I had our commitment ceremony at Gordon Lodge in August 2011. GORDON LODGE WAS EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE of hosting a same sex wedding in their facilities. My partner and I felt blessed to have come across such wonderful people who made our planning process effortless and fun! Many of our guests dubbed it the "best wedding ever" and I couldn't agree more. I truly believe this is due to the experienced and competent employees of this establishment. Joe Schlegel, the Director of Events of Food and Beverages, was knowledgable and goes above and beyond to make sure things get done and go smoothly. He is a very nice man and was a pleasure to work with. I can go on and on about everyone...Rory, Patti, the chef, the owner....all extended their warm wishes and congratulations and did everything they could to cater to us and our special event. Now about Gordon Lodge.....it is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. We had a picturesque outside ceremony and an inside reception. The food was so good (once again...declared the best wedding food ever) And the lodging and facilities offered made everyone who stayed there wanting to come back. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Gordon Lodge!!! It is such a wonderful venue for a commitment ceremony/ wedding and we plan on spending our anniversary there for vacation!

Remote area yet minutes from area attractions. The food is excellent and the staff make you feel like family. Many free services included in the rate, such as breakfast buffet, bicyles, canoes and paddle boats. A place to truly unwind and enjoy God's beauty! Take your camera because the sunsets are free!

Magical is the only way to explain this place. As soon as you get there You get a feeling of of calm and serenity. This place saved our relationship. The staff is great and The rooms are just as interesting. You defintely will enjoy it here. We now have a place We can call "ours". Just make sure you wake up in time for breakfast which stops serving at 9:30 am. Make sure you walk the trail of tears and take time to tak to the staff about the history. Especially Cindy who bartends at the Top Deck and Jessica who does everything. Thank you Gordon Lodge

We've been going to Gordon Lodge for over 10 years and love it more each time we go there. The grounds are beautiful, the food is excellent, and it's quiet. We stay in the adults only area to enjoy the peace and have never been disappointed.

I have stayed at Gordon lodge at least 6 to 7 times. I have brought my mother and mother in law and have had a wonderful time each and every time. I could not rate it lower then 5 stars. Thge food and location cannot be beat. You are only 20 minutes from everything in the door. ira rumick
