The hotel is in the final stages of a complete refurbishment, and whilst this might put some people off everything was done to minimise the inconvenience. A room with a lake view is an absolute must. Lay in bed and watch the sunrise over Lake Superior, watch the herons skimming the lake or the mother duck and her duckilings emerging from the reeds. Sit outside in the evening and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. The newly renovated pool was superb with clean fluffy towels ready available from reception. The only grouse was the varied quality of the food, however a new restaurant is planned to be open in August.
